Du Manoir St Denis, Montreal

We wanted to stay in a reasonably-priced place within walking distance of "everything". This place was in an OK location and the room was decent for the price. Nothing fancy, but it was passable. Had to problems. Will certainly go there again next time I'm in Montreal.

I chose this place at the last minute because I was going to a wedding. I was on a tight budget, but the savings were NOT worth this! The place was dirty and ill-maintained. I was afraid to touch anything in the room. One positive factor was the street that it's on does have some nice restaurants and the staff was fairly nice and polite.

Just escaped from there. It was an awful experience.We booked 3 nights. One night I was waked up. You may wonder by who? Bedbugs, bedbugs, bedbugs!!!!! My vacation has been totally ruined. I will never go back there!!!

I will never stay nor even close to this hotel, as I found two bedbugs on my pillow. I left inmediately. Threw away all the clothes I was wearing.

It's got the B&B rustic charm, incredible value, clean rooms with all the amenities, and you couldn't ask for a better location. Out the front door is bustling, fun rue St-Denis.

We arrived in December 05, the people were nice enough to let us drop off our luggage prior to the check-in time. The place is small yet cozy, but the stairs are slightly difficult to get around. The doors seemed busted down with several lock changes, bathroom doors were broken and unlockable. However, the people there were top notch, my girlfriend hurt her back on the second day and the people including the cleaning lady was nice enough to try to let us know where the closest pharmacy was (despite their language barriers.) A simple breakfast given each morning with warm greeting and we did not run into any problems generally, with an exception that the room next to us was quite noisy during late nights. Location excellent, 5 minutes walk from the central Berri Metro station with varieties of restaurants and stores within walking distance. (Free internet... provided by someone else without a proper internet sharing security)

This place was awesome cause it was on St Denis street in downtown montreal. A very busy street with lots to do and it was a 10 minute walk to Old Montreal. Excellent friendly staff and nice rooms. Only about $70 for a room with two double beds, private bath, fridge, tv at the time me and my Mum went in May. Good price for all the necessities in an excellent location.

I liked its location. It was close enough to get to old montreal, the club district and the shopping area. The latin quarter is fun and funky in its own way with a lot of little shops and restaurants to choose from. It is reasonably priced, and clean. The people who work there are very nice and accomodating. I recommend it to anyone who's on a budget.

Great price. Okay for singles or couples but was a little rough for taking a family of 4. People running the site treated us well. Bit of breakfast included. Just needs some work. Exciting location.
