Pro's and Con's
I made a mistake of having "expectations" after reading some of the other reviews...
First the pro's:
Smooth check in.
Clean rooms.
Free Breakfast with hot and cold items.
Easy check out.
Great price.
Accomodated my family of 6 in one room.
We liked the thermostat control air.
Free wireless internet.
Cons:
The clerk wrote the wrong number on our card and we tried to get into a room that was already occupied.
At 11 p.m. when we were all settled in and ready to sleep we realized that the couch didn't make into a bed, so we called the front desk. "I'm sorry, no one told me you needed a fold out couch, they are all on another floor, but if you will come to the front desk we will rectify the situation and move you to another room". This was not acceptable with four children at 11 p.m. so we just asked that they bring some blankets and pillows and we let the boys sleep on the floor. (When we made our reservations on-line we reserved a room with a fold out couch that would sleep 6). So, if you check in make sure you let the clerk know exactly what you need.
The bathrooms were clean enough that I didn't want to check back out but they were not "sparkling".
There are no ice bins on the floor that I am on.
Peeling wallpaper, broken microwave knob, etc. Renovation is necessary in some parts of this hotel.
Overview: We can't stand the thought of spending a fortune to sleep "one night", but we also don't want to stay in a "dump". This hotel met our needs and was tolerable. If you are looking for a bed, breakfast and good deal this is the place - but don't expect the Hilton.
