HYATT house Charlotte Airport, Charlotte

We were not told prior to our arrival that the hotel is being remodeled. The breakfast area has been set up in a makeshift area that I think was previously the fitness room. The breakfast was not the "full breakfast buffet" that was advertised but a very typical high carb continental breakfast. The fitness room was also disappointing as it had been moved to an office that had only enough room for a treadmill, stair climber, weight bench and TV. Our room was really nice, though it was also under construction. The bed was extremely comfortable as was the couch. The TV in the living room was High Definition which made my husband happy. It was nice having a kitchen but there was no table to eat a meal. There were no pictures on the walls, just the nails where they had been hanging. The room was pretty quiet, especially considering that there was a cheerleading competition in Charlotte and many of the girls were in our hotel. We had a nice time but we probably would have stayed someplace else if we had known that the hotel was under construction. We had really been looking forward to a nice hot breakfast and were quite disappointed when we saw the continental fare that greeted us the first morning.

The night front desk on 1/5 was excellent. even thouhg we had booked at the wrong location, she still helped us in finding a new location if we chose. It was very late and we just stayed. I mentioned that it was my friends birthday and she gave us a upgrade! She was very cheerful and helpful! The next day though when we checked out they doubled charged us. we had prepayed online and had to use a card for incidentials and instead of seeing that we were prepay, my card was cvharged and has yet to be removed!

Each year my family make a special trip to Charlotte, just a ritual of ours and the hotel stay is what really keeps us coming back. Excellent Service long before it became a Hyatt property so I'm sure this is only going to make it better.

We have stayed there about six or seven times. The fornt desk is always helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice enough and large enough. Good price! Just remember it is not the Ritz.

I made a mistake of having "expectations" after reading some of the other reviews... First the pro's: Smooth check in. Clean rooms. Free Breakfast with hot and cold items. Easy check out. Great price. Accomodated my family of 6 in one room. We liked the thermostat control air. Free wireless internet. Cons: The clerk wrote the wrong number on our card and we tried to get into a room that was already occupied. At 11 p.m. when we were all settled in and ready to sleep we realized that the couch didn't make into a bed, so we called the front desk. "I'm sorry, no one told me you needed a fold out couch, they are all on another floor, but if you will come to the front desk we will rectify the situation and move you to another room". This was not acceptable with four children at 11 p.m. so we just asked that they bring some blankets and pillows and we let the boys sleep on the floor. (When we made our reservations on-line we reserved a room with a fold out couch that would sleep 6). So, if you check in make sure you let the clerk know exactly what you need. The bathrooms were clean enough that I didn't want to check back out but they were not "sparkling". There are no ice bins on the floor that I am on. Peeling wallpaper, broken microwave knob, etc. Renovation is necessary in some parts of this hotel. Overview: We can't stand the thought of spending a fortune to sleep "one night", but we also don't want to stay in a "dump". This hotel met our needs and was tolerable. If you are looking for a bed, breakfast and good deal this is the place - but don't expect the Hilton.

Stayed here for a month till we got a home. Enjoyed my stay very much. Nice workers and good food. Bedrooms are nice, need more room for my family of 5, otherwise great. If your uo high enuff on floors, the view is ok . Walmart, Sam'sClub and Carolina Pavilion not that far away, 5 to 10 minute drive. Conviently off the major highway I-77. Across from Omaha Steakhouse is a good plus for me!

I chose this hotel based upon the reviews. I swear I think the employees or friends of the owners wrote them. DO NOT STAY HERE. You're better off at a big chain. I had my room given to me it was so bad. Unless you can risk going out of town on business and not getting a wake-up call. HORRIBLE HOTEL

I enjoyed the atmosphere this hotel ovided for me and my father. With its inviting lounge area and its cozy rooms we fell in love wiht this hotel. I know that when i go back to Charlotte I will be sure to stay at his hotel agiain.

I stayed here many times in 2004, and they gave free dinner buffet with unlimited wines and beers Monday thru Thursday. I LOVE IT!!! Room is clean and nice, pool is great, staffs are super-friendly, and they have internet connection in rooms. Lobby is very cozy, and their room rate is happy too. Outside hotel, you can walk to two other hotels, and one of them has a steak restaurant and a bar.

Great visit, great value for the money, staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms and property were clean and well kept. I would stay here again.
