Red Roof Inn Corpus Christi South, Corpus Christi

I could not say enough in reagrds to the staff at the Red Roof Inn. They were so courtious and accommodating. The room was what we had requested, calls to the front desk were always helpful and productive. The facilities were taken maintain to the highest level. I saw the pool tested twice daily. That is a comfort in itself. Thank you for making our vacation pleasant and relaxing.

We have been checked in for only an hour and already our experience has been horrible. The manager has been extremely rude to us. Our room was not supplied with any towels or a hair dryer. I went down to the front desk to ask for these items, only to be yelled at by the manager claiming, "we can't give you people 30 towels!!" I needed 3. Three towels for a 4 person room, and he couldn't meet this requirement. He then proceeded to tell me the entire hotel was out of clean towels, and that some might be clean soon, but there is not a housekeeping staff, (obviously false) that can bring us any. We are VERY frustrated, VERY insulted, and will never stay at a Red Roof Inn again, or recommend one to friends, if this situation is not resolved.

We stayed here in the first week of Aug 2011 and got eaten up by bed bugs!!! hotel manager tried to laugh it off so I complained to corporate and was given my money back but I still have scars of the bites all over my arms. I had my young children with me and noticed just a random bite mark on them. Before you stay in any hotel you should look up bed bugs and get informed. If I had known any better we might have avoided this all. We actually found one on the bed and I noticed tiny blood spots on the bed but we thought it was an outside bug and that maybe we scratched ourselves and it bleed a little bit.

Considering that I spend most of the time on the beach, this hotel is well priced for the amount of time I spend in it (sleep and restroom).

The evening staff was not too friendly. Our room was the worst I've had ever. You could feel the springs in the mattress as well as see the obvious dip in the mattress as well. We stayed on the 2nd floor---a dip in the floor, and you could feel rivets (support beams??) when walking across the room. The bathroom door was broken on the bottom. One small roach on the AC unit after our room was cleaned was found. The parking lot got really full in the evening making it hard to park close to your room. Avoid room #237. We chose RedRoof as we've used the hotel in other cities and it was a good stay...I read some bad reveiws about it but ignored them...Don't do the same-don't chose the SPID hotel, keep driving.

Although the price was right, the room was sooo wrong. There were several small roaches from the room to the bathroom. Also the A/C unit did not cool. The room felt stuffy. When we first arrived the front desk gave us a key to someone's else room. It could of easily happened the other way around. Will not go back!!

Loved our stay there! We go down to fish and bring our dog. They're quite friendly, and for the price you can't beat it! The staff is courteous and the rooms are well kept. If you're looking for Hilton Hotel quality this isn't the place, but if you have a pet good luck finding any place to stay much less a place as pleasant as this one.

I came into town late. I had been driving for ten hours and was so relieved when I finally found a motel that would allow my dog. Several others that advertised "pets allowed" on this web site turned me away. The staff was very nice, the room was nice. There was lots of grassy space for dog walking. The only problem was that there was no coffee pot in the room. I had to go down to the lobby to get coffee.

Called two months ahead to make reservations for family to attend a college graduation. Informed Red Roof agent had senior citizens and requested two room on ground floor. Assured request was secured. Upon arrival had to continue to inquire from the desk clerk about rooms more convenient for the my parents - 77 (had knee surgery) and 84 (weak legs, heart problems). What we "reserved" was not available -got stuck on second floor - opposite end of where elevator was located. Desk clerk unwilling or just simply untrained on what to do to try to accomodate. We had to initiate everything. Had planned to stay another night. Quickly change our minds. Won't use Red Roof at Corpus or any where else after this bad experience.

It's clean and located among busy streets of shops and resturants. The facilities are very basic. It's for a good night of comfortable sleep, and you should expect nothing more.
