For the price, this hotel far exceeded my expectations. It was beautifully decorated and everyone was very nice. It felt like a polished 5 star hotel for a 3 star hotel price. There was fresh sqeezed lemonade & deserts when we arrived, apples & bottled water in the gym/pool area, plus headphones for those of us who forget to pack them. We had a corner king bed room, which was a really nice layout. It made us feel like we paid a lot more than we did! And the short walk to the mall across the street was a nice bonus too!

This hotel is horrible. ONE elevator servicing a very large hotel (the other was not working.) This elevator was clearly out of calibration due to abrupt starts and stops. Four clearly drunk young men getting off the elevator acting very inappropriate. Internet service was $12.95 although the guest book in the room claimed it was $9.95 for a period beginning and ending at noon, which cuts short the usage for a guest because check-in is hours after 12 start-up time. It's a bad deal when MOST hotels nowadays have free wi-fi. The "Business Center" was a desk with a computer that appears to be severely outdated and ran slowly. The final straw was checking our bank statement online and seeing that we'd been charged nearly $100 more than the amount of the bill. When we called the manager to ask about this, the manager claimed the bank put the hold on, which is untrue. She then sent us to the Business Operations Department which was closed for the weekend. When questioned on a follow-up phone call to ask why we'd been directed to a closed office, she said she'd forgotten it was a Sunday as she'd been off for five days.

Valet parking was prompt and ready with our car as soon as we come down from our room. Bell boy took bags to room and front desk were great. I mean they were quick and helpful with all our needs. The room was beautiful. I even got proposed to there in room 206. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to my friends or anyone who comes to southpark charlotte. The rooms I feel are great for the value. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back soon.

I stayed here for New Year's Eve 2007. This hotel was nice, beautifully decorated. I wish I could have taken the bed with me. The bathroom was a good size, loved the shape of the tub. The room itself was a good size, loved the chaise lounge chair. There was a window in the room that allows you to look down onto the fountain in the lobby and the rooftop. The hotel itself was very quiet, well except one guest who continuously let their door slam shut which vibrated the walls. They will let you check-out at 1:00pm instead of 12:00 pm if there are not a lot of people staying there. Overall, it was a very nice hotel located in a beautiful location in Charlotte. My only complaint is that some things I was not told though I called at least 3 times before check-in to check on various things. They charge $1.00 per call for local calls which I was not informed of until I checked out. At most hotels, local charges are free. I was also not told that if I paid with cash I would be charged an extra $35.00 even though I called and asked about paying with cash hours before I checked in. It seemed like I was being "nickeled and dimed" for these things which makes me think twice about making a reservation here in the future. If it were not for the fees they failed to tell me about until check-out I would recommend this hotel and not hesitate to make a reservation here in the future.

the hotel was wonderful. The bedding was exceptional!! Its across from all the shopping and dining. Clean and comfortable! The hotel bar was a great convience, friendly service. Hotel highly decorated and extremely clean. We asked for a small refrigator to place in our room and one was brought up for us. Very friendly staff, we just loved the location; being right across from a big mall!

The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Great staff, and friendly. they went out of their way. Very nice breakfast buffet. My room had a great view of the mall and the city beyond. For going to a conference, the hotel was great. Internet only $9.95 and not the $15 or more at other hotels. The mall is only across the street with nice eateries. The only con if that there isn't much after the mall, unless you rent a car or get a cab into the city. Otherwise, an awesome hotel with a nice southern hospitality, and not the big city attitude that one encounter in big cities.

Excellent hotel, love the bed, a nice place to stay, we didn't expect that luxury in a single bedroom and the staff was very nice too.

I loved the pool and the fitness center. The former was some times a bit cold but they were willing to adjust the temp. Rooms were nice with TVs and a great view into the main courtyard where the restraunt was along with the fountain and bar.
