I just brought my family home from an AWFUL stay at the Courtyard by Marriott/ CoCo Key Resort!! We checked in on time at 4:00pm on a Sunday afternoon. We got our room key and went to our room. When we got to the floor our room was on they were still cleaning the whole 2nd floor! At 4:00pm???? Checkout is at 11:00am!!!!! Thats 5 hours later!!!!! I was like "ok no biggie" well it was a Biggie!!!! My family had to step over soiled linnens and dirty plates to access our room! (the room seemed clean) But ive never had to step over anything to access a hotel room EVER! Ok my wife and myself told each other "ok they will clean it up". Ok we all changed into out swimwear and off to CoCo Key we went. When we got to the water park at 4:15pm more than half of the park was CLOSED and jammed full of off the street customers and there wasnt even a place for us to sit and wait!!!!!!!! The young water park staff informed us that a child had a lil boo-boo in the play area. YUCK!!!!!!!! Ok as a parent i understand that mistakes happen. At that time i asked the young staff person how long will it be closed down? The reply was I dunno? Thats the resopnse that they give to hotel guests? I dunno? At that point i went to the CoCo Key front desk and asked for a time frame that the greater portion of the park would be closed and i got the same response a shoulder shrug and a "i dunno" At that point i asked to speak to the Manager and i got a "well she left about 15 min ago". Then i asked when will "She" be back? And i got the "I dunno"........ Talk about frustrating!!!!! Then i was informed that there is a Hotel pool we could use. Ok i dont want to get all worked up on our family mini vacation, so lets go use the hotel pool. Well the (Hotel pool was full of non hotel guests)!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought a hotel pool was for Hotel GUESTS!!!!!!!! Not for the overflow of waterpark customers! Talk about lack of hotel security! Ok after about 2 hours of waiting we went back to our room a bit upset at this time. And when we got to our room what do you think we found? All the dirty plates, knives, and forks lying in front of our room on a dirty floor that wasn't vacuumed for days!! There was trash everywhere! And not one cleaning person in sight! ok so thats at 6:00pm at night!! Ok thats it i went down to the front desk and informed them of what was going on, and asked to be placed in another room. The lady working the front desk was nice and she gave us another room on another floor right away. And she informed me that the waterpark was open 100% now. Ok cool, we changed rooms and went back down to the water park for the whole two hours that the waterpark remained open! Ok when the park closed my family was hungry and we wanted to try the "Full service" Applewood Bar and Grille for a nice family dinner. The menu looked great! Guess what we found out at 8:00pm when we wanted to eat? The Applewood Bar and Grille closed at 11:30 am on Sundays. A bar & Grille closes at 11:30am?????????? Where in God's name could find a bar & grille that closes before noon? Once agian I go down to the front desk for a you gotta be kidding me session! At that time the nice front desk lady informed me of places to eat in the area. In the area? yeah like 4-6 exits down the highway!!!! 100% pathetic! Ok we fild an outback steak house 5 exits down route 2. That was the best thing about our weekend!

Quite possibly the worst Hotel I've ever stayed in. Terrible odor(smoke and mold) in rooms, most of hotel is under construction(they'd be better off tearing it down and starting again). Terribly understaffed, and those who are there, are miserable. I wouldn't go back if they paid me!

Location is nice restaurant staff something to be desired, room was very clean for a shabby chic look, maintenance staff very attentive and professional made may stay enjoyable will come back.

Our first room smelled like BO. Our second room was not much better. For being a remodeled hotel the wall paper was coming off the walls, cracks in the ceilings, shades didn't close all the way, burned out light bulbs, broken bathroom fan. And this was just in our room! The food was good I have to admit that and they had a decent menu up until late night. We also had a problem with our room keys. We would get to the fifth floor walk all the way down the hallway to the end and find out the key didn't work. This happened EVERY NIGHT we spent there. Not fun with an overtired 3 year old.
