I read two reviews about dirty condos. We stayed in A 102. It was extremely clean with tiled floor throughout, large w/d, kitchen fully equipped, snorkle gear, internet, beach toys and coolers. The bar-be-ques could use updating and could have better lighting around the bar-be-que area. Over all, a great place for the money!

Location was perfect. Condo was more than we expected. Clean and beautifully furnished. The perfect place for our honeymoon. We highly recommend that a first time visitor to Hawaii stay in this quiet and convenient resort.

We stayed in a upstairs unit near the pool. It was a convenient location and close to grocery stores and dining options. We felt for the price we got good value. The unit was clean and the owners very attentive to the needs and wants of their guests. The owners live in San Jose, CA but they had a guest book and welcomed suggestions from those who rented the condo. It was evident after reading the comments that the owners took them to heart and provided many of the suggestions, we thought it was a nice touch. I cannot however, remember the number of the unit we stayed in! The ladies at the check-in area were very nice and informative too. We would recommend this facility.

Directly across the street from the new Maui Whale Watching Preserve, prime time. We stayed in unit C-208, the end unit on the 2nd floor overlooking the saltwater pool and a glimpse of the ocean (although it rents at a rock bottom Garden-view price). It had what looked to be all-new furniture and truly retro-Hawaiian decor. Great Value and Super Quiet location.

No frills, which is fine, but it was not clean. We stayed in two different rooms and they were both run-down and dirty. Couldn't even eat my food that I cooked in the unit because I was a bit grossed out. Sorry, but would not stay here again.

We fell in love with Kihei Bay Vista for several reasons. It is a smaller project that is quieter than most. The grounds are well kept and the pool is clean and quiet. The units are large 1 bdrm / 1 bath and the lanai is large and acts like another room. We don't like spending a fortune on a place to sleep and find Kihei Bay Vista to be a perfect home base for our trips to Maui.

We stayed at the Kehei Bay Vista in Jan 2007 in room #102B. It was very dirty and unkept. It smelled like mold when we walked in, the paint was peeling off the walls and the walls were filthy, the carpet was in poor shape, there were holes in the wall, and the smoke detector was broken off the wall. Very poor condition. I wasn't expecting luxury, but I was expecting clean. We went through Maui Condominium and Home Realty. They were not helpful in trying to find us a new place. We stayed here before and it was okay, at least clean. You could do better for the money. My parents stayed at the Kehei Akahi and it was nice...right across from a swimmable beach in S. Kehei.

This place is very straightforward - it's inexpensive (by Maui standards), so its pool is small, no beach-front rooms, no spa, no on-site dining, essentially no glitz. However, it is in an extremely convenient location, it's clean, comfortable, with washer/dryers, nice kitchen, TV, lanai, BBQ, hot tub, and is truly a good value. If you want to spend your money and your time enjoying a resort, this is not for you. If you want to spend your time and money seeing Maui, you couldn't find a better place to stay.

A great place to base a maui holiday from, 15 min to Makena, 45 min to Lahaina, 30 min to the airport. Quiet condos (traffic noise at the front) nice non-crouded pool in the evening, clean hot tub. Mostly Canadians from B.C., and Americans from Alaska the last two times we were there.
