Good hotel for price and location!
By ,
Staff is good. Location is good. Price is good. Rooms are small, bathrooms are not. I liked it. Slept in better and in worse. But, I would hvae no trouble telling my friends to stay there, I would just warn them about room size. All in All it was what I thought it would be! A good place (Not great), for a good price.

If you Prefer Location over Comfort
By ,
If you Prefer Location over Comfort then this is the place. If you want a hotel that will force you to see the most of the city by limiting your time in your room… yet again this is your place. The hotel had polite staff and we did not have any complaints about our treatment. Having traveled all over Europe, I will say this was by far the smallest room I have ever stayed in. I hope you and whomever you are traveling with are getting along, you can’t even hide in the closet (staying is this hotel may just spark that unwanted vacation fight, full discloser is required prior to arrival). Forget traveling there with kids, you could not even have them sleep on the floor, that is unless you could convince them to utilize the space under the bed (I might be onto something here). If you have ever seen the picture of Michael Jordan showing his wingspan holding a basketball… what he is really doing is showing you how wide the room is. No joke. On a positive note, the bathroom was surprisingly large compared to the room, I would guess 20% the size of the room. It has a shower that is not the stupid European shower, the kind that ends when you drop the soap because you can’t reach it. All-in-all, if you are travelers who do not focus on the room and just want a clean place to sleep, then you are good. If the room is important, go to Mexico where it is cheaper. The restaurant next door has great food, make sure you give them a try.

Great Location
By ,
This hotel is perfectly centered in the heart of everything. Its about 15 miles from the airport so expect about 50 euros for the taxi ride. That was one bad thing but it is within walking distance to all the major sites. If you can learn the subway it is really easy, it is a life saver for your feet, if you want to go to the Hard Rock Cafe or to the cemetary to visit Jim Morrison because those places aren't close to the hotel. We bought a day pass for three people and it was about 18 euros, ride as much as you want for the day. Go down into the subway and there is an information counter there, just talk to them to get your prices. Their english is better than my french. The hotel was fine for the money you pay, it was clean, but the rooms and hallways are small. So if you plan on living in your hotel you might want another place to stay, but if you are just looking for a place to lay your head this is the place for you. We were barely in our room the whole time we were there, we were out and about from sun up to sun down so it was the perfect place for us. The front desk people were really helpful. They helped us with directions and with places to eat. If we get the chance to go back to Paris this is where we will stay.

Small doesnt do it jsutice
By ,
My wife and I recently got back from Paris where we stayed at the Elysees Union Hotel over the New Year. All I can say is, stay away from Room 416...it is literally the size of a large broom closet...even by European standards. The good thing is, the room was so small we didn't want to stay inside even though the weather was freezing ...bad news is, as with any hostage situation, the hostages eventually become reliant on their captors...as we eventually did with our room...and came back to it for the warmth (LOL). The hotel location was nice...but if you wanted to get a late bite to eat in the neighborhood, you are out of luck...and forget about the mini bar, unless a bag of chocolates and chips can hold you over till morning. The staff was friendly...to a point...but if you wantd to stay out late, they lock the front door and you have to rely on the fron desk clerk actually being at the front desk to let you in when you get back...which doesn't always happen...especially at 3am. Now don't get me wrong, we loved Paris...but I feel a hotel and its rooms can play a large part in the trips overall enjoyment and all I can say is that our next trip we will stay clear of this hotel. Take my advice, spend the few extra bucks and upgrade to something nicer if possible..you won't regret it!

Great Hotel - Fantastic Staff - Perfect Location
By ,
My wife and I just returned from 7 glorious September days and nights in Paris France. After extensive research we decided to book our stay at the Hotel Elysees Union. We couldn't have been happier! This was our first stay at the Elysees Union and we found the hotel to be a perfect blend of charm, sublet elegance and character. Located just off beautiful Avenue Kleber, Hotel Elysees Union is a pleasant 5 minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysees. A just-as-pleasant walk 10 minutes in the opposite direction and you'll find the Tour Eiffel. There are also two Metro stations nearby for easy access to other parts of this beautiful city. The hotel and the surrounding neighborhood display a charm that's all Paris. Nearby you'll find a deli, cafes, ATM, grocery store and pastry shop as well as numerous other shops and stores. Our room was on the 6th floor, reached easily by the classic European elevator located in the picturesque lobby area or by the spiral staircase towards the rear of the building. Our room was clean and comfortable with a partial view of the Tour Eiffel through the two windows located high in the garden/courtyard area. The small bar located next to the lobby has an inviting touch as do the two seating areas located on the main floor. The restaurant downstairs serves a classic continental breakfast as well as an assortment of omelettes. We found it a perfect start everyday! The entire staff at the Elysees Union was personable and knowledgeable, ready to help and answer any question. I can't say enough about the quality of the staff at the Hotel Elysees Union. They were great and very appreciated. Samir was especially helpful throughout our stay! If you're looking for a charming, clean, classic hotel with a top-notch staff and which is perfectly located in this beautiful city then look no further. The Hotel Elysees Union exceeded our expectations and we hope to return again soon

A perfect location!
By ,
Our favorite things about this place were the view of Eiffel Tower from our room and the incredible location. Within three or four blocks of Arc de Triomphe and also walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, this was a perfect place to spend the week. The staff were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to accomodate us. Also, we appreciated the continental breakfast (you pay extra for this, but the convenience is worth it) and nice atmosphere. The rooms are small, but clean and very charming. We highly recommend this hotel, and would love to go back.

great location
By ,
From the hotel it is only a 15 min walk to the Eiffel tower, L'arch d'Triumph, and Champs Eleysees. Lots of great little cafes very close by. Staff was very friendly, and all spoke english very well. Not a bad price either. There is an extraordinary pastry shop a block away! Very convenient to Metro stations. Only negative, the walls are a bit thin, and it was noisy with the late night party type folks returned.

Perfect for the first time visit to Paris
By ,
My wife and I stayed at the Elysees Union this past July. Room was small by US standards but clean and comfortable. Small balcony overlooking the street with a line of sight to the Eiffel Tower (the only hotel in the neighborhood with this feature). We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but shopped at a grocery just a couple of blocks west of Kleber. Several Metro stations within minutes walking. Staff was mostly helpful, spoke good English, but occasionally contradicted themselves (can you take your meal into the interior garden or not? One says it is private, another says no problem). The Fleurs Cafe around the corner is good, as are several other eateries up and down Kleber. Good value for the money, and we would likely stay here again.

I loved this hotel!
By ,
We felt very comfortable here. The people that worked there were extremely friendly and very helpful. My 14 year old daughter and I had a triple room. One of her friends was in a quad room w/her mom and the other friend was in a double w/her grandmother and we were all very happy with this hotel. We were there from 16-21 Mar and I can't wait to go back to this hotel. Soussane (sp) and all of the other employees were wonderful. There's an excellent Italian restaurant, Francesco's, two doors down. We were a 10 minute walk from the Arc, a 10 minute walk from where we caught the River Cruise, a 10 minute walk from the Eiffel and a 15 minute walk to the Champs. A perfect location.
