Embassy Suites Atlanta Airport, College Park

I am a loyal Hilton diamond member with 500,000+ points. I was very dissatisified with this hotel. The service was terrible. I could give specifics, but they never came through on anyhing they promised. The jet noise is crazy and the food in the restaurant is a step up from a Howard Johnson. The decor is old and the bathrooms need redone in a major way. The only plus is that they have 32" LCD Samsungs TVs. For the money it is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in.

The wireless internet is $10 per day for an average signal (better signal in the breakfast lobby. The tub/shower has only one temperature--very, very hot. I complained and got a promise and no one ever showed up to fix it. OK, so now I see that this is a problem. I walked to a store a short distance from the hotel. Scary neighborhood.

A review from 2 years ago noted that the water had two temperatures, hot and scalding hot. That is still the case. After a complaint, I had lukewarm water, but only a tiny trickle. The breakfast sausage is still raw, but the rest of the breakfast is marginally acceptable. The hotel is near absolutely nothing. You can take a shuttle to the airport for a dinner restaurant or to catch the train downtown. There is a convenience store about a mile or so away. Don't plan on warming up frozen dinners. The microwaves are still old. The staff was outstandingly friendly. The valets were too friendly, laughing loudly at two a.m., so be sure to ask for a room in the back. Or bring industrial strength ear plugs. One should expect the airplane noise when staying near a large airport, but should not have to expect staff partying in the middle of the night just outside the room window. I was here for a couple of weeks. During the work week, there are mostly business travelers. On the weekend, there were dozens of loud children and teenagers shouting in the echo chamber that doubles as the enclosed courtyard. They must give a discount to high sound volume cheerleading teams (one of which was staying this weekend). A business travel scheduler picked this hotel for me. After I got here, I found that there were several other quality business hotels in the area. Checking the internet rates, I see that I paid the most and got the least in quality. Business travelers or anyone wanting a good night's sleep should pass this one by.

Do not stay at this hotel. It is over priced. The rooms are like cheap motel rooms. Very dirty.

First of all this was our third year in a row coming back. I thought one last time and I will give them another chance. The pool was not working the entire time we were there, the hot tub was cold. My room didn't have hot water, the breakfast sausage was raw and the list goes on. I went to the front desk and ask if they could give me the $59 Marriott rate since their pool wasn't working and the lady said they couldn't do anything until she talked to the manager on Monday morning. Well I found out that one of my friends had a night taken off her bill the morning she checked out and then when I emailed the General Manager Frank Phair the next day he turned it over to Tabitha Henderson and she called and said both nights would be taken off, I had three rooms. A week passed and I had no credit, then Mr Phair emails me and said one night was taken care of and that he thought it was fair, I proceded to tell him what Tabitha had said, and he said I don't know what your conversation was but I think it was faiir, I told him the money wasn't the issue now, it was Tabitha Henderson giving her word and I have tried to call her and she will not return my calls. To make it worst my other friends were there also and did receive full credit for both nights that they stayed there and they won't credit back my account. They are full of untruths there. I wish this would get to the right person who would be glad to help me. Thanks Donna Purcell

Location was good and cool. Service was great even though I had issues with late cleaning of rooms and stuffiness of room (i stayed in a smoking room). I would suggest that they find a way to get the rooms refreshed after each check out. All in all, its a good place to stay if you have to stay close to the airport.

I absolutely loved the parking attendant s at the embassy. They were full of energy and knew how to get to all the locations in the city. Being next to the airport was convient . I will stay here anytime.

I stayed at this hotel for a week in April this year while on business and it was attrocious. Let's start with the microwave. I stopped off at a nearby grocery store and bought some tv dinners for the week to cook in the microwave. I found out the first night it wasn't working. The first clue was that the microwave looked like it was made in the late 70's or early 80's with it's archaic timer. I called the front desk to have it fixed and he brought up another dinosaur which worked, only you had to heat everything twice as long. Secondly, the water temperature for the shower had two temperatures, hot or scalding. You could get it cold but only if it trickled out of the faucet. They came to fix it two hours after I called to have it looked at. This was time I could have been sleeping but I didn't because they said at the front desk that maintenance was on their way up. He said he got it working, but I checked after he left and nothing had changed. I eventually decided to start filling up the tub a couple hours before I went to bed so it would be cold in the morning. Convenient huh? The last thing, I'll mention about the room was that the thermostat never dropped below 74 degrees in the room despite my attempts to get it cold. After the other, maintenance fiascos, I figured, why bother? The final insult was that they charged me for internet access which I get free because of my diamond level status with Hilton Honors. They took it off after I pointed out the error. You may be asking, why I didn't change rooms or hotels. First, I have to take lots of equipment on my trips so I would've had to repack everything to go to another room that wasn't guaranteed to be nicer. Secondly, my company booked the hotel and it wouldve been a hassel to find another one mid-week by the airport. The one good thing about the hotel was its proximity to the airport. It was only about five minutes away but strangely it took the shuttle 45 minutes to pick me up after I called them to pick me up. This hotel stunk.

My overall expectations were met. I stayed at the Embassy Downtown last year at the same time, and so I tried to initially get that hotel this year. Well they were booked so I stayed at this one and was pleasantly surprised. I payed three times more for downtown but liked this one three times more. The room was bigger and better. The breakfast was great and well the price was fantastic for all that you get. Next year when I'm making reservations for Cheersport I will stay here again.

The Embassysuites is one of myfavorite hotels. I was there for a business trip and the hospitality from everyteam member is comendable. The hotel was nice and the service was great!
