Good for the Price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/4/07
I wanted to make sure this little motel gets a fair shake. We stayed there in late May 2007 for 4 nights. It was quiet, we had an amazing view of Lake Estes. The room was just a King bed that overlooked the field area behind their motel. The elk were all over the field. There was no air conditioning, but at 7500 feet we did not need it. We did use the fan they provided and opened the window. The pool had just opened and well it was wonderful- nice and big. The room did have a coffee pot and mini fridge in it. They had a complimentary continental breakfast with bagles, danish, coffee, cerial, juices. Pretty nice. For the $59 a night we paid to stay there it was a bargain. The grounds needs some help but the value is amazing. The desk gal told us good places to eat, hike and what was fun to do. For us bargain travelers it was very nice. The bathrooms are outdated but the room was very big and clean. Stay there if you can handle an older style bathroom and furniture ask for the 300 building that has the view of the lake. Submitted from Sugar Land Texas visitor.

You Get What You Pay For
By Marshall, 8/21/06
We stayed here for three days and two nights. The room was clean but the furniture was old and worn. There being no air conditioning, we had to keep our windows open. There were parties and loud people going on until 1:30 one night and past 3 the other night. We found it very hard to sleep with all the noise. The lights at the swimming pool did not work and we could not swim safely after dark. We would not stay here again.

Horrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/06
I would not stay there again, especially for the PRICE. Hot, no a/c.. pool dirty, room dirty, they authorized my debit card for three times the amount of my bill which caused overdraft charges.. NOT worth it

Would chose a different place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/05
We stayed there 3 nights and 4 days for a snow roadeo competion. There were 6 of us with 3 different rooms. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom when we first entered the room and that same hair was there the entire time. They finally vacumed the floor on the 4th day. There was not a coffee maker in our room because we had the jac. tub, but the other 2 rooms had a coffee maker. So I called the front desk, she did go find one for us. The kiddie pool was filthy, but the giant hot tub and big pool was fine. There is NO air conditioning. And our heater would not turn all the way off. So our room was too hot. It was 84 degrees outside. We had to keep the windows open 24/7. Which made it hard to sleep because the Elk were bugeling out side all night. The Elk was cool to see, but would have liked to close the windows. It is kinda far from the shopping and stuff downtown. Would have liked to walk to town.

WORST PLACE IN ESTES
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/7/05
My wife and I stayed at Lake Estes Inn and Suites for two days and one night. We got the executive suite which included a Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi defiantly did not meet our expectations. We had put fresh water in, but there were bubbles that collected in the corners of the tub that almost looked like soap bubbles, but when they popped they left a strange residue that looked like skin. The screens to the windows did not fit the window properly and allowed insects to enter the room. There were ants that were also in the room. The room also offered a refrigerator. The problem with the refrigerator was it did not get cold; regardless of which way I turned the knob it never got colder. There was also a lot of dirt and grime in the corners of the room. The pool, and giant hot tub were the biggest disappointment I have ever incurred. The hot tub was not even filled or working. The pool was extremely dirty, having various plants and insects in it. It was clear that the building was not maintained well. There are many other surrounding hotels, that are much better maintained and worth the money. 189.99$ a night was definitely not worth it. It was more like a roach motel than a suite. Others that also stayed there, told me that the condition of the building and other offered amenities have immensely deteriorated over the years. He told me that he had been going there the last 5 years, and conditions have been becoming worse and worse every year. Overall, I would discourage anyone considering staying there. Keep in mind there are much better establishments to stay at. I will never stay at Lake Estes Inn and Suites again.
