Will Stay Longer Next Time
By Shell, 9/19/05
The pictures on line always look better than the real thing...until this time! The motel was very thing that I saw and the beach that was attached was breath taking. We only planned to stay the one night, we came to watch the Yankees play Tampa (only 15 minutes away) and booked the room for an extra night because we were so pleased. It was minutes to everything...snorkling, parasailing, jet skying and much more

Parking's a nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/22/05
As a previous reviewer said, parking is indeed a nightmare. There is insufficient parking on site, and the parking across the street behind a service station is also insufficient. The last day I was there, I was awakened at 6:30 a.m. and told to move my car, as it was improperly parked. I thought I had followed the hotel's instructions for parking across the street, and the desk clerk was not able to tell me what I had done wrong--I still don't know. Also, the street one has to cross is a five lane major thoroughfare--very exciting to get to one's car.

Convenient Location
By col, 4/22/10
As others have said, the pictures usually are better than in person, but I have to say this place was OK for the price. The rooms are nothing fancy, a tad small but it was nice having our own bedroom separate from our son. It gave us all a "place of our own", but it was clean and nice having the mini kitchen. The personnel are very friendly and accomodating and the beach there was spectacular! It was also very nice to be able to go to the hotel next door and use their larger pool and tiki bar as a guest. The parking really sucked! Very narrow and inadequate. It was very nice to walk the beach down to St Johns Pass and hang out there as well. One bad comment here......I left my cell phone charger in the room and called about it the day I got home. They said they had it and would mail it back to me. Two weeks later, I call again, they still had the charger in theri possession and apologized saying they would send it back right away. Now another week has gone by and still no charger. What's the problem here guys??? Now would I go back to this hotel???? Maybe but there's so many in the area I might try a different one if the price were right.

Love It Want to go back soon!!
By Pam, 10/26/05
I loved the location, the view, the friendly staff, and hated to leave as we had alot of fun!! The only problem with this hotel is the parking - had to park on the side of another building....other than that.....we loved this hotel!! Great service and staff. Rooms were cozy and spacious.

Would never go back again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/08
We had multiple maintenance issues that made our stay probably one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. Thursday night: AC was malfunctioning. Never got below 75 in living room, much warmer in bedroom. Friday morning: shower handle broke off, flooding bathroom and hallway. Had to wait over 30 mins for maintenance to arrive and stop the water. Friday during the day: AC was disconnected for service, didn't get fixed until after 2pm. Saturday afternoon: AC pan overflows, saturating hallway, linens and personal belonging on luggage holder. Maintenance cleans up water, but doesn't fix problem, just leaves extra towels in case it over flows again. Housekeeping doesn't have any extra linens, so we sleep without a comforter. Both ice machines broken. Need I say more? Good comment: hotel manager ended up not charging us for our stay.

We'll Be Back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/1/08
If you are looking for a place directly on the beach - this is it! The rooms were clean, the staff very friendly. If you are looking for a new, fancy place, this is not probably for you. If you want a comfortable, clean, homey type this is it. This is the kind of place where after a day at the beach, everyone hangs around outside in the evening chatting with the "neighbors". We loved it!

We love Sea Castle
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/26/05
I really loved the Sea Castle Suites. You know, there is always going to be things about a hotel that one will love and things one will dispise. Overall, yes this hotel needs minor improvements, maybe some new carpeting, (it was a tad dirty), and the parking is atrocious. Other than little things that I personally would rather endure then paying some outrageous price and the service people making the stay miserable, this is a great place to stay in Treasure Island, I was so happy to hear they were not closing down and I am going to be there again this year!!!

Good location but low quality hotel
By Jake, 7/5/06
Th hotel is right on the beach. There is 100 yard long white sand and clean water. The suite had 2 TVs, microwave and good enough kitchen. But the chairs had stains, the carpet was dirty, the towels were old and we killed to roaches. We had a good time at Treasure Islands but I dont think I can convince my wife to stay at Sea Castle again.

Great location and comfortable rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/27/08
We enjoyed our stay for the weekend at the Sea Castle Suites. At first glance I was not sure about our room. Because it being an older building, the room did have a slightly musty smell at first but went away after running the ac. After walking around the room and checking things out, I found that the room was well kept and clean. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. My only major complaint was the parking which is horrible. No worries though, we just parked the van and walked every where for the rest of the weekend since shops and food were close by.
