Worst hotel ever!!!!!
By Unhappy Camper, 2/15/12
Trust me when I say that this is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. It is gross and dirty! I stayed here for two nights (as I had already paid on Priceline). The ironing board was dirty. The towels were dirty. The shower curtain was dirty. The sofa/pull out bed was dirty. The pillowcases were ripped. The walls had stains on them. Don't plan on getting adequate rest as the hotel is directly across from very busy interstate traffic. Also, there is no access to Wifi in your room, so you have to walk down to the lobby to connect to wifi. On top of the horrible quality of hotel, this Marriott does not offer a breakfast bar or restaurant. Pay the extra money and stay at a REAL Marriott or if this is the quality of hotel Marriott is providing nowadays, a nicer hotel.

Bad Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/19/11
The phone did not work, the walls were dirty and the staff was not helpful. The hotel made not effort to correct the problems. I would not stay here again.

Good hotel..not all staff helpful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/24/11
This hotel is in a good location for LSU and Baton Rouge. It is right off the interstate but in a complex that host offices and an Outback Steakhouse making it difficult to find. There also is no signage on the lobby. Room was good size, clean with usual amenities. Good size swim pool ( seasonal) and an indoor year round jacuzzi. There is a train that goes by hotel around 5 am every day which will wake the dead.. My only complaint is the front desk staff. I was supposed to receive a letter. it had not arrived when I had checked out so I asked the woman on front desk to have it returned to sender ( my office). Ten days later it had not arrived. I called front desk, the female on the desk was not very pleasant and abrupt when I was trying to explain why I was calling. When she would finally listen, she find the letter which had sat there for 10 days. She said she would send it back today, we will see. If you are a business person this may not be the hotel for you. The manager of this hotel needs to do some front desk staff training.

Very Loud
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/6/09
We always stay at Marriotts but this is one that we probably will avoid in the future. Our room was on the interstate side and it was incredibly noisy all night. Also, there are small balconies off the rooms and thd door to our balcony was cracked open when we got there and the safety bar was disengaged. Evening front desk clerk was very nice but the morning person never forwarded my receipt by email as requested. I really expect more from a Marriott.

Will never go back!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/21/08
The room was dirty, the towels had not been washed from whom ever was there last the ice bucket had been dumped and old bag was put back in it for me (sick). Staff was very rude to us and overall was just terrible.

You can set your watch by the train
By local yahoo user, 11/12/07
Get ready for the train that comes through at 3am. This is most ill equipt Courtyard we have ever stayed at. Marriot really needs to take a look at this hotel because it is not up to their standards. It was clean but not Courtyard quality. The only plus is how close it is to LSU and it is quiet except for the train that comes through at 3am. There is also a outback beside it and a Lone star across from it. There is also a great creole resturant around the corner from it. We will not be back due to the train.

Really enjoyed my stay
By a, 5/17/07
Bed and linens were luxurious. Wireless internet, very convenient and innovative desk. Clean room, bathroom, etc. Safe, central location. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy on and off Interstate 10. Close and convenient restaurants. Good breakfast buffet.

Over charged to Credit Card!
By Rosemary, 3/13/07
I received the bill under the door, and then went to check out because I drank the bottle of water and wanted to make sure I paid for it. The lady at the checkout counter was not happy to do this and give me a receipt. When I insisted to have a print out of the charge she did so. When I got my credit card receipt, I got a double charge for my room, one without the bottle of water and one with. What a mess, to dispute!

Best spot in town
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/06
The new mattresses were absolutely fantastic. It quite literally feels like sleeping on a giant piece of cotton candy, minus the stickyness, of course. The location is very good, a quick 5 minute ride from the downtown area. I had one small issue with my cab not showing up to bring me to the airport. The front desk manager got on the radio though, and before I knew it I had a free ride from one of the maintenence managers. Talk about a trip saver! Will definitely return next session.

quiet location but still convenient
By Young, 12/12/05
quiet location, convenient with expensive but decent shops, but the waitress at the restuarant was rather sullen for the whole stay. Room needs more sound-proof.
