Days Inn North Canton, Canton

Pro: Hotel was located convenient to local shopping and attractions. Cons: Staff was rude, room was in disrepair, wireless internet was unavailable, mystery charge assessed after checkout. We booked through Airtran for a 2 night stay (2/27-3/1, 2009) and paid in full 2 months ahead of time. We were billed after we returned home an additional $100. Days Inn Canton front desk person was rude and not able to refund the overcharge. When Airtran Vacations called to resolve this overcharge, the Days Inn lied and said we were charged because we stayed 5 nights, not just 2. Funny, since the story they gave me upon first contact was that they didn't receive payment from Airtran. Is $100 really worth lying about?

I stayed at the hotel for one night. During my stay, my cell phone became missing after a housekeeper cleaned the room. I'm from Ohio and was attending a graduation in Canton. According to my cell phone bill, someone was calling people with a Detroit area code, I know no one from Detroit. After several conversations with the owner, no further investigation or consequences were given. Also, the person at the front desk had no teeth. Just be very careful and don't keep anything of value in your room. No one from my family would stay at that hotel,but there are better hotels in that area.
