La Quinta Inn & Suites Virginia Beach, Virginia Beach

Pros: * The rooms are very clean and very modern as well as the bathroom; great beds and pillows. * The Hotel Staff was pleasant and friendly. They have good customer service skills. * Indoor and outdoor pools are wonderful and kept at the right temperature so they won't get to a hot temperature of being unusable. * Hotel is very well maintained and kept up * Great Value for the overall experience Cons: * Breakfast was disapointing and skimpy. Only cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, eggs and fake waffles. It would be nice if they bought back some hot items like the sausage and bacon. Try Pocohauntas Restaurant up at 35th Street for a great breakfast. * The Whirlpool that is adjacent to the indoor pool only had a few jets working while the rest of the jets had little pressure. * The Hotel is pet friendly, although we saw only a few small dogs during our stay. Stayed here from 8/24 to 8/27/2008. We stayed here when this place was the Comfort Inn and were pleasantly suprised with the changes made to the hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to return anytime.

This hotel was not only clean but the beds were very comfortable. The room itself was very nice and quiet. The location to the beach was only two blocks away. There were some small children at the pool but they were very well chaparoned. Many different eating areas within walking distance. I definitely will make this one of my favorite places at Virginia Beach.

I stayed here from 8/4/08 to 8/8/08. The staff is very friendly, continental breakfast is good and both pools are excellent. Parking is great as it is only ONE block away from the beach. Good location, price, and staff. Overall a great experience! Would recommend to friends and family.

I always look forward to staying at LaQuinta. The rooms are very confortable and affordable. The staff is very friendly and professional. The recent renovations are beautiful. The complimentary breakfast is good. I'd recommend to family and friends.

Front desk was very friendly and knowlegable. The newly decorated room was beautiful with very tasteful decor. Motel is quiet, good breakfast variety. I highly recommend.

The staff there was incredibly friendly. The rooms were fantastic and the nice spread at breakfast really helped make us "wake up on the bright side." Fantastic hotel, we can't wait to return in the summer!

As a family of four, we were very disappointed with this hotel. The staff at the counter was not very friendly. The maintenance staff was much more friendly, however. The rooms were not very clean and definitely needed to be updated. The outdoor pool was warm, but to have the kids try to swim indoors, the pool was ICE cold. The hot tub did not work the 4 days we were there. The air conditioner did not work while we stayed; luckily, the weather was not hot enough to need it all the time. Drains in the bathtub did not work propertly, so we stood in a foot of dirty water. We will definitely not be back to this hotel.

Just came back, first time at Virginia Beach. Sept/07. The Hotel is very clean, does need updating but they are going ahead with plans to do so. The staff are very nice and helpful, but I feel that the Front desk staff could look alot better in appearance, to represent the hotel. The manager is exceptional, and very accomodating, when a problem arises. Our overall experience is very memorable and satisfying, it truly is value for money also. Its very close to the Beach, Shops etc..... Would definately recommend, and stay here again.

I stayed there in Aug. 2007 and I felt that the hotel could use some major renovations and was disappointed in the hotel's overall cleanliness. I filled out an online survey asking how my stay at La Quinta was and I was honest with my assessment pointing out the cleanliness issues that I experienced. Well, I got a response from the hotel manager who informed me that the hotel had just been recently purchased at the end of July and they were working hard to correct issues like those that I mentioned. He informed me that they are going under a multi-million dollar renovation this Fall and would greatly improve this hotel. He also made amends to me for any inconvience and asked that I try their hotel during future visits. I applaud this level of customer service and I will try them again in the future. Aside from this, the hotel location is good and the staff was very friendly. I think the future is looking bright for this hotel.

My boyfriend and I are both on our late 20's. We are from New york, and the 6 hours drive was definitely worth it. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. I am already planning another trip in September and will be staying at this hotel.
