La Quinta Inn & Suites Virginia Beach, Virginia Beach

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at Sweethoteldeals. Net They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

The place was clean which is very important to my family. We brought our two small dogs and they were treated just as wonderful as we were. The staff was very accomodating and attentive to our every need. Our children had a wonderful time in both pools. While this place accepted hotels with dogs I never heard a bark once. I will visit again and again! Everything was very local which made it very nice!!!

This is a great place to stay in Va. Beach! The location is great, the rooms large and clean and they are pet friendly with no additional fees. We take our dogs everywhere, so this saves us a bundle. That said, my only complaint goes to the dog owners traveling with their dogs. First, allowing us to travel with our dogs is a privilege, so set a good example and clean up after your dog! It's the law and a courtesy to everyone else. Also, if your dog is not used to traveling (and even if he is), don't let him sit in the room alone for hours at a time. This is extremely stressful for the dog. He is in a strange place and doesn't know you will return. Many dogs will whine and howl because they're upset. Besides, it's not much fun spending the entire time alone in a room. If you're going to travel with your dog, include him in some activities. Isn't that why you brought him in the first place? We love traveling with our dogs and wish to continue to do so in the future. So, please don't abuse this privilege and ruin it by not using some common sense.

It was a very clean hotel, which was a pleasant surprise considering it's very inexpensive. The service was very hepful and pleasant. very clean beds!!!

Likes: Check in was very easy. Pool was open (w/out a lifegurard) until promptly at 11:00 pm. Smoking area was available and not outside a reasonable walk for my friends. Even though I don't smoke, I was not bothered by others doing so. Safe feeling at the hotel. Security Guard in the evening, and I suppose into the night (I guess this is a good thing!). Dislikes: Dogs everywhere (which I was NOT aware of before booking my room). Slow elevators. Employees tripping over us by being in guests way. Place looks beat up. No inside pool yet. Never even got a briefing on the breakfast or layout of the place by staff upon check in. Very expensive for second class establishment, full of dogs. Would not waste my money by staying there again. Was not the worst in the world, and was by far NOT the best.

My family and I got there thursday afternoon, Check-in was quick n ez n they let us use the parking pass even after check out which was cool. There was a medium sized out door pool but it's on the street so people pass by. The indoor pool was being remodeled :(. there was only 1 PC in there "business center" and it was always occupied. the elevators take forever so people use the dimmly lite stairwells, yes a few lights are blown and not replaced!!! The room smelled like dog..and they were everywhere in the elevators the hallways (without leashes) i had stayed at a la quinta in Lynnwood W.A and had a great time excellent hotel WA keeps pets limited to the 1st flr. But not the VA Beach La quinta!! our allergies flared and because some of the guests are inconsiderate I had to worry and protect my kids and baby from leash-less dogs. it's a kennel....I also reported smoking on my floor and had to wait hours for a luggage/cart they only have 4!!!! Never again. Breakfast was awful too cold hard boiled eggs...no bacon or links...cold cereals...hard/cold mini-muffins only good thing waffles and coffee....I guess it's still in business for the dog lovers and te fact that it's a block from the beachfront....

Booked a trip to VA Beach through AAA for our family of 6! AAA Agent called to confirm that a roll a way bed was available for us to use during our stay there. Upon arrival, one customer service agent said that they didn't have roll away beds available to guests to use any more while another stated that they just didn't have any available for us during our stay. The icing on the cake is that on our way to our room on the 2nd floor, there was a roll away bed in a storage closet. My wife ended up sleeping on the floor for our stay on extra blankets provided by the housekeeping ladies. Hotel Management did nothing for us but tellus to call the customer service number which they gave us. We will not visit a La Qinta Inn again.

Stayed there during the 2008 Neptune Festival. First of all, I couldn't believe rooms were available and secondly, unlike other local accommodations, La Quinta didn't inflate their rates to unreasonable heights for the festival. Very affordable, very clean and the staff was super friendly. Have stayed there since then for a weekend getaway and plan to stay there again during the 2009 Neptune Festival. Way to go La Quinta!

This place is clean! For a hotel that accommodates dogs, this was great. The entire hotel as well as our room was very clean (no animal smell), the beds were very comfortable, and the location can't be beat (nicer end of the boardwalk). The staff is superb - very friendly and helpful. We definitely will be back.

I was amazed on how nice the room looked. The location was perfect, the staff were very nice, the indoor pool, jacuzzi and the breakfast was an added bonus. I will definetely go back there. The hotel was very quiet. The only thing bad I can say was that the pool and the jacuzzi needs cleaning. Its a little small also. The food was good. The bagels, waffles, broiled eggs etc.. all was great. I will definetely go back.
