Very nice place and very nice people
By ,
The Hotel is in a beautiful place and we enjoyed every moment. The staff and the management are very collaborative and have made us feel at home. It is not downtown so it is beatiful to savour the colors and the breeze of in the morning and in the evening. All interesting locations in the island are easy to reach. Food very good in the hotel but in less than 2 minutes walking there is a very nice beach with many restaurants. Ask for one of the new rooms. Very cleran. ... We will go back there any time ..!

long way to go

the name is misleading.. It is NOT on the beach like others ( Lady Anna ) in the area. The rooms are clean .. but the style is tacky kitch.. in need of a womans touch.

Our favorite hotel in Mykonos
By ,
Right between Psaru and Platis Gialos (sp?) beaches, and on a bus stop, the Petasos Beach Hotel location is perfect. The staff is the most professional that we found in Greece. The breakfasts are a perfect way to start the day overlooking the Agean. The room decor is comfortable and trendy, and the pool area is perfect. We will definately return.

We would definitely go back!
By ,
This was our favorite hotel on our trip to Greece! The accomodations were clean and very well kept, and the staff was excellent! We also visited Santorini and Athens and this was by far the best hotel. The pool is excellent and overlooks the ocean and the hotel is just a few steps from the beach!

I've never been so disappointed...
By ,
We were due to stay at the Petasos Beach hotel for 2 nights. Our flight had been overbooked meaning and our airline were unable to offer us an alternative flight due to it being peak holiday season in the UK, and because many flights had been cancelled due to the Dutch air traffic control strike. We called the Petasos Beach Hotel at 3pm yesterday and told them we were unable to get to Mykonos. The hotel told passed the buck and told us to deal via our travel agent - who we called later on that night when we arrived back from the airport. Today we were informed that the hotel had charged us one nights cancellation fee. We were totally outraged! I called the hotel immediately and spoke with the reservations manager whom informed me that we didn't give them enough notice, even though we called them the day before our arrival. The gentleman was very rude and abrupt and told us to contact our airline for compensation. It's not just about the money for us, we lost our holiday too. The hotel owner wasn't even apologetic for that and never once showed any empathy for our situation. To be honest, Im glad I didn't stay at the Petasos Beach as they're clearly not the class establishment that they advertise themselves to be. If a hotel is this desperate to make money then it must tell you that they don't get many bookings. Boutique hotels are supposed to pride themselves on offering an intimate level of service making the customer feel both warm and special. If the people who are serving you are not genuine then the whole experience can feel a little false. Genuine nice people would not resort to such lengths in order to make a profit as this hotel owner did. We will be visiting Mykonos in August, this time I shall be making alternative arrangements for my accommodation. Be warned - if you're taking a boat out to Mykonos you may be better booking your hotel when you reach the Island as many ferries are cancelled in the summer due to high winds. If you were to suffer the same fate as us i.e. your flight is overbooked then this hotel will charge you even if it's not your fault.

Breathtaking views, wonderful staff
By ,
We spent part of our honeymoon at Petasos Beach Hotel and had a room overlooking the sea. Very friendly staff but the accomodations were rather basic. Can't wait to get back!
