Lord Byron

Stayed in this hotel in August 2001. Rooms are small, mattress was really worn & lumpy and furnishings were showing wear but overall the room was clean. The high points of this hotel is its location, just around the corner from the Champs Elysees so its close to shopping, restaurants, the Metro, post office and small grocery stores. This hotel also has private bathrooms, in room safe, mini- refrigator and air conditioning in the room-a real plus since the temps at the time was 85 degrees with relatively high humidity. Also has a tiny elevator-good to have if your room is on the upper floor. A continental breakfast was also included with the price of the room ($108 USD in 2001). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside to this hotel was the bed which dipped in the middle. I probably should have complained (my fault)and asked for a better mattress but after days of serious sightseeing I was so tired that I basically dropped dead at the end of the day and got used to the mattress. I would stay at this hotel again but would definitely ask for a better mattress if the same situation came up.
