Its not all that bad
By Alicia, 6/24/09
I like the location, its close to all the attractions, how you have to pay for parking, and the rooms are small. The staff was friendly, the resturant has a short menu. You get free gym passes, also the review from our window sucked, it was another persons window. we were at the back of the hotel so we did not hear the noise from the club below. would suggest you get a room at the back of the hotel. it was decent value for your money.

Don't think I'd go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/08
Location was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful BUT...rooms were very small and housekeeping had to come plunge our toilette 3 times in 2 days becasue it kept getting clogged (and it wasn't our fault! The first time we flushed the toilett right when we got there it already clogged up) and after housekeeping couldn't solve the problem they finally sent a real plumber with a toilette auger to fix the problem. There is also a bar on the ground floor that is open on Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm-3am so we heard LOUD techno music until 3am. (I heard several people complain the next morning and they wanted refunds). Towels didn't smell or feel clean so bring your own I guess. Our comforter had a old blood (?) stain on it GROSS. Hallways smell like body odor. I definetly would recommend and upgrade to a deluxe room because the standard rooms are on FLOOR 1. You have absolutely NO VIEWS of anything expect the alley and your neighbors windows and you can't even look outside to see the weather. I'm NOT KIDDING.

Nice for the Price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/5/06
This Ramada Inn & suites is nice place to stay if you are on a budget; depending on what room you stay in. The house keeper did a good job of streightening up everyday. The front desk staff was friendly. However, at times there was only one person at the desk. Plan to check out a little earlier so you are not late. There is much to desire about the area around the hotel. Just watch your back. A variety of different ethnic resturants can be found in the area. Transportation was readily available. The fitness room was not attractive. The pool was nice. Although, you were observed in the pool by the people sitting on the patio of the resturant, which sat right off the pool. Not bad but, I could have done better.

OK for the price
By Jennifer, 8/7/06
Overall this hotel was fine for the price. The people working here were friendly and helpful. There just weren't enough people at the front desk to provide quick service (ususally just one person). We were upgaded to a suite, which was nice. However the rooms were small. I would have prefered one larger room to the two smaller ones that we had. The room was dark since we couldn't open the window as it looked accross an alley into another hotel room. Parking was a slight problem. There is a lot on the side of the hotel. If that is full (which it became in the evening) then there was a valet. Only one valet (actually the bell boy)to handle all cars. Same was true in the morning. This is very close to nightlife. I would not recommend this area for a family. We could walk to dinner on Robson Street without difficulty or fear for my safety. I would recommend this hotel mostly anyone looking to enjoy nightlife (especially if you're on a budget).

Felt like I was staying in East Hastings
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/22/06
This hotels flooring creaked on every floor. As if that was the part keeping me up at night, it was off of Granville where there was a lot of traffic and noise. There's a night club downstairs, so picture yourself trying to sleep and having people in a night club line up waiting to get in just outside your window. I had to park my car underground of some apartment building and the hotel still had to charge me for parking even though it didn't belong to them. I especially didn't like to see the staff always standing around chatting about their day when I was waiting around for my car to be brought up from their so called valet. Very upsetting.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/9/05
I could not sleep in this place because of the dance club under the hotel kept me up all night. It would be ok if you wanted to party all night long at the dance club

Will never stay here
By RachelC, 6/28/05
It was not what I expected for a Ramada. It is located in a part of town which looks a little shady. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel door and the parking lot is terrible. If you can't find parking in the small area they have you have to park in a parking garage that's not the hotel's. The rooms are very small with small furniture. I asked for a room with window and the only room with a view was of the street out front with bus stop in front.

Great Entertainment Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/04
If your going to Vancouver for fun and enjoy the nightlife, the Ramada was in a great location and a good price. They have the most amazing Lounge attached called Ginger 62, really really funky. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Almost family like in a good way:o)
