Clevelander Hotel, Miami Beach

The hotel is alright and the food here is OK but the drinks and the party atmosphere more than make up for it.

I got a room just above the pool, which rocks long and hard into the night....therefore...NO SLEEP. The walls were paper thin and the room had a musty stank to it.

This place is alot of fun--but watch your wallets and any other belongings...the outdoor area is somewhat plagued by pickpockets! Why this place is a seedbed for theivery is partially explained by the inviting, relatively simple access in and out of the outdoor bar area to Ocean Avenue. Why security is not better is an unfortunate question mark for the Clevelander!!!

Great location, room was clean, however apparently housekeeping has problems with their records. An attempt to charge $10 for (2) Fiji waters was made. They were untouched. I had to correct that with the front desk. A charge for $16 was made to my credit card for (2) towels days after my departure from South Beach. They were left on the bathroom floor. So now I have to dispute the charge with my credit card. I also had a problem with reservations. I called the hotel 24 hrs. upon my arrival to add an additional night. When I got there, they had no record of it. I will be staying somewhere else on future arrivals into the South Beach area.

We spent hours reading reviews and trying to find a decent place on south beach that was affordable. Easier said than done. Well, mission accomplished! The clevelander was outstanding. I have stayed at 4 star hotels that did not treat us this well. I made my reservations using Yahoo travel and a flight/hotel package. When we arrived they were genuinely happy to see us, the desk clerk welcomed us with a big smile and introduced himself like a friend. check in took less than 2 minutes. They took our card number and gave us a key, explained the lay of the land and we were off to our room. The room was somewhat small (We knew this going in) but very very clean. The restroom was clean as well. We stayed on the "quiet" side and never heard any noise though the bars by the pool were open late and crowded. We ate there several times, the food is very good. There are managers everywhere stopping and asking you how everything is. We were asked how our stay was at least once per day and never a hassle for anything. Maid service is top notch and everything is cleaned everyday, including hallways, elevator etc. You must valet your car or you will spend your days looking for parking. The valet is separate from the hotel and run by parking company. Its $20 per day with unlimited in and out. It takes 20-30 minutes to retrieve your car and the hotel tells you this checking in. The valet can be slow at times but the hotel hounded them for me several times when it took more then 20 minutes. It is one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had.

This is one of my favorite places to go! And the funny thing is, the first time i ever went to Miami, when i was like 18 years old, this is where i ended up! And who would have known, over 10 years later, i would still be shakin' my miss new booty there! Great place to go all day every day in miami!

EVERYTHING, YOU LEAVE TO GO OUT TO A CLUB, AND COME BACK TO THE HOTEL AROUND 3:00AM, AND THE HOTEL IS STILL PARTING, I LOVED IT, THIS HOTEL IS #1

okay, ican't review this as a hotel because i didnt stay there...HOWEVER we did visit every day we were there to eat and drink, and it was fantastic! from morning to night this place doesn't stop...plenty of entertainment throught the day, the waitresses are quick, even when it's packed (and it usually is). the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. buckets of beer were around 20$, and expect to give the server ur credit card b4 ordering to ensure that u dont leave before paying up. the clevelander is a great place to go and let loose, especially if you've been waiting outside a club for 45 minutes and not getting in because ur "guy to girl ratio is too high". dancing into the wee hours under an open sky beats any stuffy club anyway ;) as for the hotel, it's in a superb location. everything is within walking distance...the beach is across the street, cute little shops and restaurants are all around. it's on my "place-to-stay when in south beach" list.

I loved the location it's right on one of the most popular streets. It has it's own club and it's not far from the clubs. The beach is across the street. If you want to sleep make sure you get a quite side room. The only thing I didn't like was that they were working on the new part of the hotel in the morning but hey you shouldn't sleep to long in Miami anyway. Also the t.v wasn't acting right.But your never in your room anyway. I like this place.
