Gulf Sands Motel, Port St Joe

STAFF AND OWNERS VERY RUDE. THEY ACT LIKE THEY ARE DOING YOU A BIG FAVOR. THEY WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE US A ROLL OF TOILET PAPER. THEY SAY ONE ROLL ONLY ONE ROLL ONLY!!!! ROACHES SLEEP IN THE BEDS TILL YOU RUN THEM OUT. SAVE YOUR MONEY

This hotel is great for my family because the hotel is right across the beach! The Staff is also a good part because they keep the rooms clean when we are gone and having fun on the beach! It is a good hotel with GREAT RATES!! They also have a fast internet!

For a memeorable time with tons of personal attention and excitement, Gulf Sands Motel is the tops. It is nestled across the highway from the emerald green waters of the beach which is breathing its soft, gentle waves of fresh ocean air across to it. Upon entering my quaint cottageish room I found free drinks in my refrigerator which appeared to be opened and half emptied. There was no reason to be upset about the mold in the bath because the owner assurred us she would be cleaning it off first thing the next day. As to personal attention, I can't remember when I've had more. The owner gave me every drop of her attention as she held her finger approximately one foot or less from the tip of my nose while shaking it vigorously and screaming "No! No Refund. I call cops, you will suffer, you will hear my words. No Refund." Of course we did get to meet the cop who is a wonderful gentleman and we did get most of our refund and we reassigned ourselves to the Main Stay Motel which was great. I have learned to look to travelodge and other such companies for more than cheaper prices and bargan deals, I now also pay attention to their little star ratings and I think I'll start trying to be aware of the places they don't mention at all.

I liked everything about this motel.It has a great view of the beach and it has great rates! I would go back.

had the bad luck of having to stay at this motel last weekend. trust me save you money and sleep in your car thats about what you get. OK lets start. toilet stops up they hand you a plunger and tell you to fix it. beds are like sleeping in the parking lot really small and rock hard. showers don't drain you stand in knee deep water while taking a shower. the people that run the place have a real nasty bad attitude and don't care but about one thing-getting your money none of the faucets work in the rooms they run all the time. I can understand how this motel can pass inspection. they must give the inspectior a room...... Save your money and stay just up the street at the dixie bell motel its clean the people are real nice and its american owned

The location was in the center of the town, and convenient to beach. The management was very rude. The rooms were very nasty, not very clean at all. I would not even let my children get a bath in the tub. The beds were like sleeping on hard boards, and the pillows were very thin and flat. We experienced a plumbing problem and had to plumb the toilet ourselves, mangement would not even fix it. We also did not have hot water to show with.
