We have returned many times. At parmer's Resort you can literally you can custom design your stay in this paradise. There is a selection of quiet rooms, apartments and efficiency apartments. Each has it's own name and character with a private sitting area just outside its door. They have more expensive, larger apartments that come with kitchen facilities and adjoining rooms including a private outdoor hot tub. We once stayed in a quiet room named "Shrimp" which was large enough to accomodate our every need while affording us the privacy, seclusion and quiet we were looking for. The cost of each is directly related to size and amenities desired. One year we brought our kayaks to explore the flora and fauna all around the area during the day while visiting Key West at night. That year we chose to stay in the very affordable "Shrimp" suite. I might add we experienced every luxury of the resort just as though we were in one of their more expensive suites. The staff accommodated our request to keep our kayaks on premises throughout our stay at no extra cost. During the day we explored the backwaters of the lower Key's, returned to our room in the late afternoon to plan our next days activites, rest and prepare for a lively evening just a short distance away in Key West. I can say we have not found a more comfortable and affordable place to stay so near to the nighttime excitment of Key West. At Parmer's Resort no matter which of their many suites we stayed we took advantage of the wonderful inground pool, beautiful views and the island atmosphere with out the big price tag found at many of the other resorts. Any time day or night we freely walked the premises, towards the waters edge where there are large tree-shaded hammocks to relax in or we sat beneath the thatched roof at one of the small pavilions next to the waters edge watching people boat to there days activities. Some nights if conditions were right we reclined and gently swung in a large hammock to view storm clouds far enough away we experienced the beautiful unique flashes of lightning behind large clouds sitting over the surface of the ocean off in the distance. On the mainland I have never experienced these types of unobstructed expansive views. If you desire more action there are many other experiences nearby. Just up the road is the award winning Bahia Honda State Park with its many beaches. It is yet another great location to visit, relax swim and kayak. You can visit nearby Big Pine Key's 8600 acre National Key Deer Refuge and see if you can spot a Key Deer which are minature subspecies of white-tailed deer that grow to be less than three feet tall at the shoulder, early morning or late afternoon are great viewing times. You can try to find No Name Pub not far from No Name Key and experience the tasty meals and see the interior where every inch of wall space is covered with patrons dollar bills to memorialize their visit to this well known establishment. I can't forget to mention that on Big Coppit Key the Geiger Key Smokehouse and its waterside tiki bar where the locals hangout, kick back and make an evening of it. On a certain night of the week they have live entertainment and on Sunday a barbeque that is both affordable and tasty. These places are all within a short distance of Parmer's Resort on Little Torch Key and if experienced will leave you with a one of a kind lower key experience that will allow you to create memories that will last a long time.
