Stay Away

Some things about my experience at this hotel stood out, and ensure I will never stay at that hotel, or anywhere with this chain again. First I signed up for the corporate office's discount club which was explicitly promised to be honored at all locations, all of the time. That is not the case. I was informed upon my arrival that the immediate room discount and free room upgrade based upon availability was only effective during the week and not on Sunday, the day of my arrival. Also I knew I would be arriving a couple of hours before posted check-in time out of necessity. So I called to see if this would be a problem and to see if I would be charged more. I was assured that I wouldn't be charged more. Not only was I charged more upon my arrival the manager refused to strike the early cheack-in fee of $25.00. It was only after a prolonged argument and profane exchange that he finaly relented. Finally, I had reserved my room online with a credit card which was supposed to garantee a particular rate assosiated with early reservations. I subsequently printed my reservation and presented it to the manager upon check in. The manager refused to honor the price listed on my reservation, which was supposed to be garanteed, sheet and wanted to charge me the premium rate usualy charged. A second confrontational exchange took place which eventually lead to the manager charging me the price I had "garanteed" and reserved with my credit card. So as a result I will never stay with chain again!
