This Hotel Was A Nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/09/06
This Hotel is a horrible hotel to stay. We had an expensive item stolen from our hotel room by an employee and the hotel did not want to assist us in retrieving the stolen items. The Hotel was rude and would not take any type of blame for the situation. Horrible managment and overal a trashy hotel. Rooms were dirty and the hotel is old. They will hire anyone so be careful of this hotel.

Only if you can't find anything else.

Wow. This was probably the worst hotel/motel I've ever stayed in. But that's not a bad thing I guess since we usually stay in nicer places but nothing else was available. If I had a choice we would have stayed in one of the larger chain hotels in Lake Tahoe but everything was booked and this was the cheapest place we could find that had vacancy. Here are some positives and negatives. - This motel is very old and doesn't hide it's age very well. The rooms themselves are "tastefully decorated" but some of the amenities themselves are very antiquated. The room we stayed in had a stand up shower with flimsy fixtures. The tiles were very grungy and the shower door with fly open if you barely touched it while showering. - While I was using the bathroom I saw a large black ant (large compared to those in Sacramento) come out from under a tile and walk across the floor. Shouldn't they be spraying for this kind of stuff? - The comforter had a cigarette burn in it. - The sheets were not fitted so the bottom sheet would come off very easily exposing the mattress below. Gross. - The floors were uneven in some places. - The TV was small compared to the cabinet it was sitting in. The cabinet probably could fit a 27" or 31" TV but this was a 19" at the most. - In our room at least the channels on the cable TV would go up to about 45 then the static got very bad. It was obvious that we were supposed to have the channels but something was causing a bad signal. - Parking was terrible after nightfall. I literally took 7 trips around the motel until I found a spot (and it was still a short walk to our room) + $89.99 for a single king-size bed on a Saturday night (while two big singers were in town no less) is very cheap. Especially when I made my reservations only 2 days in advance. + This place is seriously located about a 5min or less walk to Harrah's Casino and stateline. + Within walking distance of great shopping. Other than the above it was a below-average experience. The motel served it's primary purpose... to have somewhere to sleep. But I definitely wouldn't stay here again if I could help it.

Would stay there again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/06
We spent 5 days at Holiday Lodge and were very happy with it. No, It's not the Embassy Suites, but then we didn't expect it to be. We asked for a non-smoking king on the second floor and that's just what we got. It had a balcony over-looking the pool, and it was unbelievably quiet. The location is superb, especially when you might be getting back late. The donuts and coffee were adequate, but I wouldn't call it a "breakfast". All of that said, it was a bargain, the people were nice and - again- was unbelievably quiet considering it's only a block from Highway 50.

this place was great, i had a deluxe king room and i had my onw balcony which was nice and my room was absolutely clean and spotless. some of the other rooms were older than mine but those are the budget rooms so you get what you pay for. but overall my room was exellent and so was the staff. Housekeepig did a great job and the pool was very nice and warm. i had a great time here and i will be back

Ruined our weekend!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/13/04
Rundown hotel...I wouldn't stay here again even if I were homeless. Heater did not work and that was a bit important since it was 45 degrees outside. Loud obnoxious banging and yelling above us at midnight. Front desk was called but the noise just got worse.

Big Disapointment!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/04
Paid 94$ weekend rate for a room that needed much update and repair. A/c was broke, front desk sent several people to try a fix but never did get fixed. Second night they gave us a fan. Front desk showed no concern and were very rude. Only good thing was it was walking distance to the casinos. Look into other establishments in the area.
