Highly Reccommended!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/9/08
The place was awesome. from the views to the service to the spa to the nightly "magic hour" every thing was great. Anything you need all you have to do is ask...they helped with dinner reservations and they even checked us in for our flights home. not one complaint from me the whole experience there was warm and welcoming. any one going to napa should try this hotel!!!

Go somewhere else!
By Denisa, 2/16/06
My husband went through much time and effort in planning a wonderful, romantic getaway. Unfortunately things did not go as planned! We had reserved a suite with a balcony overlooking the gardens/river. We checked in and were taken to our room only to find that they had us in a BASIC room. Not only did we not have the spa or balcony, our window faced the very busy road and parking lot. So much for views! After we pointed out the error we were told they were booked solid and that there was nothing they could do. They even tried to insinuate that it was our mistake until we provided a receipt showing the paid reservation for a suite. The customer service was horrible and they were not very eager to make any concessions. Finally after two days the manager returned our calls offering to put us up in another hotel or a free couple massage. How convienent that we were leaving the next day and were busy on a wine tour for the current day. Eventually, the manager did offer to comp the two nights. Needless to say I would not take my chances there again! Absolutely horrible!

Misrepresentation of Room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/6/05
Their web site quoted a 500 sq ft room for $495. When we arrived we got a 325 st ft room for $495. When we complained we were told the web site was out of date. Huh? We booked this room 10 months ago and the web site hasn't changed. This is a bait and switch and taints any positive impression of the property.

much to desire
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/8/05
This place is cute. BUT the people that work there really need to take a class in service. As much as a person pays to stay there, these peole treat you like the ladies at the DMV. I was highly dissapointed in the service at this inn. The office manager would rather keep her employees happy than the quests. There were 2 couples in our group and this was our overall opinion. Maybe this will help them deside to get new help and make their inn a much better place to stay. But if their office manager and service continue at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business.

Very Poor Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/16/05
I think the first thing that surprised us is where the property is located. It is not in the middle of the wine country. In fact, it is barely on the edge in a rough part of the town of Napa. My wife and I tried to take a walk and were almost run over multiple times. I think the location is one of the biggest problems with this property. The property is nice but it doesn't come close to living up to the price. For $650 per night you would expect a restaurant, room service, a pool or spa a fitness facility or at least someplace to run or walk without dying. If you just want to get a room, this is the place for you. Very poor amenities. The staff attempts to make your stay comfortable but it is obvious that they are uncomfortable with the property. No one asks how you are enjoying your stay or what you think of the property. When we tried to leave they prompty informed us that we would be charged for our entire stay whether we liked it or not. I would think that if certain guests didn't enjoy the property and requested to move that they would do everything possible to accomodate, otherwise the guests will feel trapped and will go out of their way to tell everyone they know what a bad experience they had. I would strongly warn anyone thinking of staying at Milliken Creek to do as much research as possible before making their decision. It's not for everyone. For the price they charge I would stay at Meadowood or Calistoga Ranch or even Auberge. They all blow this property away!

the best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/10/05
The owners have done a great job making the place look brand new . The rooms are very nice, with nice views. Can't wait to go back to stay in a suite.

unbelivable
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/10/04
this was absolutely the best inn i have ever stayed in. from the pleasant fragrance of our bathrobes, to the turn-down service, to the wonderful breakfast served on our deck, to the friendly helpful staff...our experience was 5-star. we loved everything about Milliken Creek and will be visiting again.

Customer service lacking
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/10/04
What other reviews have expressed is very accurate. Customer service at this inn is not what it should be for the money it costs to stay there. I had to leave at 6:00 AM in order to be in San Francisco for a flight, and I could not even get coffee before I left because it "wasn't served until 7:00". Give me a break.

Enjoyed both of my stays here thoroughly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/04
They have delightful rooms with balconies overlooking the river. Breakfast is served on the balcony in the morning (if you'd like). The higher end rooms have a spa en suite. I found it to be a lovely place to stay and plan on returning again. It is a little pricy, but I thought it was worth it.
