Can't Wait to go Back!
By BlendedPaths, 7/15/12
I can't believe the pettiness of people in reviews I've read at different sites for this hotel!! We stayed at Nine O Five Royal in March of this year, so this was our second visit. The first time we stayed there we were on the bottom floor facing the street. That was pretty cool. This time, we shared a suite - a sort of "apartment" - with our friend; two bedrooms instead of the one, but the rooms were pretty much the same - bathroom, kitchen, beds, tv, awesome furniture, pretty walls and design, and we had the more awesome availability of climbing out the window to the balcony instead of walking onto the porch to watch the people on the street. I think that was my favorite part of the whole trip this time - the time on the balcony. It was totally cool to go out the window to get there. I LOVE staying at this place!! The two sisters that run the place are the sweetest people. They have gone out of their way to make sure things are great for us, and if there's nothing they can do about a problem (which we didn't have during this visit - last time the Internet was messed up), they apologize emphatically and do all they can to solve the problem. If you ever decide to visit New Orleans, give Nine O Five serious consideration when choosing a hotel!! It's one street down from Bourbon Street, in the heart of the French Quarter. The place is three blocks from a grocery store, a block from an awesome breakfast grill, and sits directly across from the most photographed building in the French Quarter. Perfect location, beautiful rooms (yes, worn with age - it's over 140 years old!!) and clean rooms (clean doesn't mean it looks brand spanking new, it means CLEAN), kind people, and all the convenience you could ever ask for in regards to location. CHECK IT OUT!

Sorry, we will not stay here again.
By Eileen, 10/13/09
The room was a very nice size, but it smelled mildew/ musty. It was hard for us to go to sleep with the old musty smell . The bath room was extremely small. Location gets an AAA+++. Nice owners. Liked sitting on the front porch people watching. Remember this is a very old hotel, so maybe it is what it is.
