Bois des Chenes Inn, Lafayette

What a wonderful B&B in the heart of Cajun Country! The food was excellent and just what I would expect had I lived back in the 1800's on a beautiful plantation as this once was. The owners are warm, knowledgable of history and willing to share their knowledge. The sitting areas in the back yard becon you to bring out a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and enjoy nature. If you look up, you will see bananas growing on their banana trees! We look forward to going back again soon.

Bois Des Chenes is a quaint 1800's Cajun style B and B. If you want very modern facility go to a new hotel. The food and owners are great. This B and B will give you a feel for early south Louisiana life. Take the swamp tour with the owner.
