I FELT VIOLATED
By Rus Dee, 9/11/08
Filthy. Disgusting. Rude. Those are just afew words to describe this hotel. Nothing like opening the door to your room to find roaches and soiled bed sheets! As a former Marine who served in Iraq, I saw bombed buildings in better repair! The hotel staff didn't seem to care about anything, let alone your concerns. I had a wonderful time in VABeach, it's a GREAT place to visit. But this hotel should be condemed, destroyed, whatever! Steer clear folks!

Horrible Hotel - Don't Stay Here!
By Paul, 7/7/06
The hotel staff were very unfriendly and unprofessional, and could care less about you as a guest. The hallways were dark and hot, and often blocked by the maid's cart. The elevator was very slow. The garage was very tight and did not have enough parking spaces. They lock the garage at night for security, so you have to beep your horn to get in or out. There was very tight security - you had to use your room keep to enter the building from the boardwalk and garage. The garage doors and stairs were not marked and hard to find. The rooms were fairly clean but very old and dingy. You have to request more toilet paper, cups, kleenex. Gangs of teenagers roamed the streets and boardwalk, making us feel very unsafe. There were police officers everywhere, which made us even more uneasy. The restaurants were very expensive and not worth the money. Even the fast food was overpriced and you have to wait in long lines. The employees treated you like trash! The beach was clean during the day, but full of trash and cigarette butts by night. I would definitely not stay at this hotel for any reason - it is a total disappointment! We did not feel safe in our hotel or on the streets. I will not ever go to Virginia Beach again. I'll go to Florida instead. At least there they care about their guests!

Great rates, Three diamond Ratings equaled-disapointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/4/06
My June stay at the Econo Lodge in Virginia Beach was disapointing. My last stay in an econo lodge hotel had been in pigeon forge. That was a great deal, great room and facility, and great people. Upon my arrival at the Econo Lodge in Virginia Beach, I was greeted by an aging infrastructure that needs some major repairs and updates. From the parking garage to the corridors and rooms everything needs a facelift.

We can't wait to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/13/05
I love this hotel. The rooms are great, hair dryers, microwaves and refrigerators. The rooms are newly remoldeled. The staff is so friendly, the in door pool is awesome. I felt I was at resort hotel instead of a budget hotel. I just can't say enough about it.

Great Stay on the Beach
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/18/05
This Econo Lodge is located directly on the Beach. I had a large, comfortable ocean-view room with a refrigerator and microwave. The parking garage is attached to the motel, so bringing luggage in and access to the car were easy.Breakfast, included with the room, consisted of cereals & juice, bagels & donuts/danish, make your own waffles, and fresh coffee & tea.Could not have asked for more for the $50 Yahoo price.Definitely recommend!

Darned good stay at the Beach!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/04
This Econo Lodge is conveniently located at the intersection of 21st Street (the main access to the Beach Area) and Atlantic Ave (right on the ocean). Everything was great, especially for the $45 Yahoo rate! The desk clerks were friendly and helpful. The room was large with an ocean view balcony and cable TV. Breakfast found waffles, cereal, juices, danish & bagles, coffee & tea. Garage parking attached. Definitely recommend.
