Flagstone Motel, Port Angeles

We made reservations over the phone on a Monday morning, and told the management we would be showing up late on Saturday night. We got off the ferry from Victoria, BC around 9:30pm, exhausted after a long day. We tried to check in, and the kid behind the counter told us to wait until his mom returned. Waited 10 minutes for her to show up, only to be told that someone with a similar name had canceled our reservation that morning. Requests for more information were met with misunderstanding (her English was very poor) and complaints about how busy they had been all day. She apologized profusely, made a few calls to other hotels, but offered no other solution than to keep moving down the road. The next available hotel room was over an hour away. Either the new managers of this hotel are completely incompetent, or we got scammed big time.

This older place is a good value. Has new owners. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom and shower is clean. I only wish they would open the swimming pool. Very polite front desk. They always greet you with a smile. Overall a good place to stay.

The People are very nice the place was very clean and the location was great. It made my stay for my brothers wedding all the more nice as everone was close.

I come to Port Angeles once or twice a year for my business and would have to say this place is the best deal. Why? -Freindly staff -Comfortable beds -Stayed in a non smoking room that didnt smell like an ashtray (had that problem with another nearby place during my last visit) -Pets welcome I will definatley be a returning customer later this year.

room was freezing cold, took over 6 hrs to warm up because of ancient heater. Looks like a flop house, people living in some of the rooms. No ice, pool closed, eventhough its advertised as open and 80 degrees. never again.

They are clean, in the middle of everything, friendly people and the price can't be beat. If you want nightlife your in the heart of it, if you want a swim, they have a great pool and it is clean and has bathrooms so you don't have to run back to your room. There is great food and you can leave the car and walk to everything.

We picked this Motel because of the ratings on the web site. Yes, it was inexpensive for the area and time we were there, if you want to sleep I don't recommend it. The towels were so small, they barely fit around my size 4 daughter. When we returned the first afternoon around 5 pm, (there were only about 6 cars in lot) our room hadn't even been touched yet, I had to go searching for towels...The room would SHAKE when ajoining rooms would shut their doors!...just not worth saving the money

Prices are now at least double. We paid $120 during July of 2007. Poorly built & not cared for place. I'd never go back. We only stayed as this was the last place in town with a vacancy.

This motel offers a basic room that is clean and adequate. The sheets, towels and drapes were a bit thin but the bed was comfortable and the shower nice and hot. The motel staff was very friendly and accommodating. (Loved their dogs!) They serve coffee and tea and cocoa (get your own coffee if you like it strong though) The location is humble (right near an auto-repair shop and a smokes shop) but quite handy to walk to the shops, restaurants and ferries.
