BEST WESTERN Hotel Le Dauphin Le Spa Du Prieure, Caen

I did a last minute D-Day trip to the Normandy coast. I called the day before I left and had no problem getting a room. The sole reason I picked the room was for the price. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was a normal sized room, not a walk in closet. The hotel/restaurant was centrally located in the city center walking distance from everything. The restaurant in the hotel was very nice with very good food. I recommend this place.

The room was small. Our room (#27) had the toilet in a very small closet. The parking lot was very tiny. We had a rental car and were unable to park in the lot. Parking in the street was difficult to find. Our son's room(#31) on the other hand was larger than ours and had a nice bathroom. It had exposed beams and a good view. The breakfast seemed overpriced at 11 euros each. I would stay there again in room 31.
