You Get What You Pay For
By David S, 4/13/11
I stayed at the Days with my wife April 5th through 12th.We were checked in promptly upon arrival and we stayed in room 235 which had 2 queen beds. The room was clean upon arrival and was cleaned every day. There were always plenty of soap, shampoo and towels every day. This hotel does house permanent residents though the couple I spoke to were very nice. The hotel was quiet during the nights and i always got a restful sleep as the beds were comfortable. The hotel does offer breakfast each morning though its nothing to write home about as it consists of english muffins, toast, cereal and packaged muffins. The lobby did have coffee all day which was nice.If you like to relax in room at night the tv is the biggest downfall there as you can only get about a dozen stations. The room cost about 50 dollars a night which is a good price on the North Shore and there are many restaraunts and historical attractions a short drive away. You won't get any frills staying here, accomadations are pretty basic but you'll get a clean room for a decent price which is all i ask for whe i come back to visit family. My wife and I will for sure stay here again.

I would not stay here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/23/10
Stayed here in Sept. 2009. Although the rate includes breakfast, the breakfast room was small and crowded and a total mess the first day we stopped in there. Never did eat anything there. The room was not kept clean- dried mud off our shoes was still there the next day and the day after. The bathroom had some electric cord hanging from the ceiling that apparently once had something attached to the end of it (a fan? a smoke detector?). I told the front desk about this. It was evident later on that someone just came over to the room and shoved it back up into the ceiling.

Will not return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/09
Booked in August for October. We were immediately charged for the room on our credit card. Days Inn informed us that we chose the option to pay now and save which we never chose. We also lose that money if we cancel. Too Bad-- we are stuck. Days Inn was not very helpful to us. They made it quite clear they could care less. Will not come back again. Must keep this present reservation or we lose the money. Very disappointed in a chain who I felt had a good reputation.

Could not wait to get out of there!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/14/09
My family and I stayed there in July. We all agreed that this is the worst hotel we have every staryed in and we could not wait to get out of there! The rooms were not very clean and the staff not so friendly. Car alarms going off in the middle of the night and arguing residents keeped us up all night.

NASTY and DECEPTIVE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/28/09
The picture on-line IS NOT THIS HOTEL! No pool, except for the one under the sink. Carpeting was soaking wet. Went to the lobby to cancel our second night and to let them know the carpet was wet, got no apology....nothing. Room smelled disgusting. Residents sitting outside of rooms were questionable. As one other person commented, Days Inn should be embarrassed to have their name on this dump! Go down the street and spend a few more bucks. And...do not take your shoes off.

Pleasant stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/23/08
It's very close to Salem, which is why we chose it---only about 3 miles straight down the road. The outside definitely could be updated. I was a little nervous when I first pulled in, but the people were nice and very helpful, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. We even got a free continental breakfast which I did not get with the MUCH, MUCH more expensive Holiday Inn that I stayed in the rest of the weekend when I went to Boston. I would definitely stay there again.

No more Days Inn for me
By not, 12/15/07
Spend a couple extra dollars and find a better place.Days Inn should be ashamed to have there name on this property. Who's idea was it to paint the outside puke green?

It was Nicer than I though it was going to be!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/7/07
The outside could have been nicer. I wish there was an indoor pool also. The rooms were well maintained. The inside was very friendly. I enjoyed my stay there a lot.

What I expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/1/07
The outside was being renovated so It wasn't nice to look at, but the room was clean and the staff was pleasant. There is a whole bunch of stores and restaurants in walking distance. Also, it turns out that Danvers is actually the spot of old Salem village which is where alot of the witch history actually happened.

Would NEVER go back!
By disbelief, 7/5/07
I wouldn't pay to sleep in the slums in my neighborhood, yet paid to stay in it here! The rooms were barely big enough for the 2 full beds and smelled of urine and mold! I didn't expect the ritz, but did not appreciate the drunken hotel residents having loud parties at 9 am. Left early and do NOT regret it! Hotel is also not accessible from incoming side of highway. We had to drive past and turn around. I should have known that we were in trouble when the sign on the highway was smashed out. This hotel looks NOTHING like the one featured on the web!!!!
