Hilton Vienna Plaza, Vienna

Loved this Hotel. Stayed here in June 2006. Had a great room with a little lounge and a beautiful marble bathroom and separate toilet. The room was located on the 1st floor right on the top on the entrance Foyer and if you looked out the window you could see the RingRoad and the people walking out and out of the hotel entrance below. The Location of the hotel was excellent as it only about 10mins from the Heart of Vienna and there was a U-barn(Metro) nearby and the Votivkirshe was close. And since it(hotel) being on the RingStrasse on the Schottering Quarter it was a very easy walk to the Burgtheatre, Parliament House, TownHall( Rathaus) and the other land marks close by. Breakfast was excellent with a great range of foods from Fruits to Pastries and hot food like baked beans and scrambled eggs and meats, cereals to cheese platers on so on. Wish i could do it all over again.Love the city of Vienna.

We only stayed in Vienna for two nights and really didn't want to leave. Of the four hotels we stayed at during this trip through France and Vienna, the Hilton was our second favorite. Although it doesn't bring much of Vienna to the interior, it's a great location (Hop On Hop Off bus stop right across the street). We walked to Stephansdom and two members of our party are over 70 years old. We didn't eat in the hotel, but hotel food isn't why we went to Vienna. The front desk and concierge were very helpful and even tolerated my rudimentary German. We would definitely stay here again, but would ask for a room overlooking the park (we had a view of a building under construction).

The hotel is situated in a quiet but central area of Vienna..,the metro station is just round the corner and the area is very elegant.I stayed in the corner suite 729 and it was great.so much floor space..deluxe marble bathroom and branded toiletries.Any request I had was actioned in a satisfactory time and the staff was all pleasant and helpful.The downstair breakfast area is superb and the choice of buffet food excellent.The hall is grand with beautiful chandeliers and plenty of relaxing sofas where you can slump on while your partner does the check-in.In the evening you are welcomed by the magical sound of an harp played by a gentle lady in smart attire just near the bar. The overall experience was good and I never tire of recommending this luxury property. The only downside is that is does feel very Hilton when you are in your room..you could be anywhere... I don't think they have done enough to bring the Austrian feeling inside the hotel rooms althought beautifully decorated they lack a link to the city rich cultural history.
