I give this place an okay but could get better with a bunch of stuff. There could have been more food choices, and the staff could be a little bit nicer.

well below normal Westin standards
By evelyne, 12/27/07
Place looks old, very different from most Westin- Eating options are very limited- Most importantly I left a piece of jewelry and staff was less than responsive to try to locate it Experience was very different from the other Westin I have stayed at

Bad hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/06
I dislike about the place that the employees, and hotel staff deny people their rights, and rights in general, and are discourtous. Except for one server the rest of the hotelstaff are discourteous, and discriminatory, and are not coustomer friendly, and are bitter, and stuck up, and snobby like, and discourtial.

ServiceGap
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/06
I booked my stay online for a week-end package during the July 4, 2006 holiday. I am a Starwood Preferred quest member. The package was to include breakfast in bed or in restaurant for 2, newspaper. First mixup-breakfast-Room Service did not know anything about the package which included breakfast for two; second mixup - on second day of stay decided to eat in main restaurant, receptionist did not know about week end package breakfast and sent us to another venue which was not open anyway and we could not access because we lacked proper access key. This necessitate a visit to the front desk and call to receptionist. Third problem-Food Court at Forrestal Village was closed and under renovation at the time of visit which limited food choices. Hotel management needs to tighten up the training of its front desk and other support staff so that they are on the same page.

Will Not Stay Here Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/06
This is to confirm other previous reviews read about the service at this hotel as below that expected of a Westin hotel. Front desk lady was far from courteous. When request for early check-in, a flat "no room available" was the response from front desk. There was no offer of stowing the bags until a room becomes available. At check out, the bill was incorrect with an extra night charged for a day which we did not stay or reserve. There was no apologies when it was pointed out to them. We were given stories of what could possibly have happened to cause the charge, with no effort to correct the problem or acknowledgement of their mistake. The housekeeping was also sloppy as there were hair on the bathroom floor at check in, and was not cleaned up even after 2 nights of stay. We have stayed at numerous Westin and Starwood hotels, and have been Starwood's Platinum member for years. We have enjoyed staying at Starwood hotels at many locations, both domestic and international. This by far was the worst in service quality. It was truly a disappoinment. I would recommend the Hyatt Regency at Carnegie Center a couple of exits away on Route 1 instead.

Not the best experience
By Jewel, 5/15/06
We spent Mother's Day 2006 there. We tried to check in a little before noon only to be subjected to someone from housekeeping screaming at the desk clerk. We felt terrible and decided to come back later. Of the 3 room keys we received only 1 worked, they corrected the problem and on day 2 it happened again. We were told we would receive a complimentary breakfast for 2 - nobody told the dinning room and we were asked to pay. The food was okay. The buffet is a good price for the kids - young kids are not charged for the buffet. They never bought more than 10 towels down to the pool area and when those were gone you had to wait at least an hour for another 10. Beds, pillows and shower are definatly heavenly and the staff are very nice. I would not stay there again, too many problems. E. Moore

Business Travel Review
By Drew, 4/17/06
Westin is one of the 3.5 star hotels in this area. I expected the bed to be comfortable and the room to be clean and they are. I was disappointed in the $9.50 fee for internet service and the $3 per bottle of water charged for decent water in the room. I understand an honor bar mentality but at this price point I don't expect to have many extra fees. There are too many. Since when did a nice room have to cost so much? I got much better deals at the local conference centers. There are two in Princeton and they are both exceptional without any extra fees.

Nice Hotel, BUT....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/7/06
I stayed at the Westin Princeton Forrestal village for two weeks. Here's my review: LOCATION In Princeton, most of the chain hotels are on Rt. 1, with a few independants, like the Nassau Inn, in downtown Princeton. Most of the chain hotels on Rt. 1 are near large mall shopping areas, with the Doral and the Westin being the exception. The Forrestal Village is like a Western ghost town most of the time, with no shoppers or visitors. You will have to drive everywhere you go. BUILDING/ROOMS The rooms are very nice, and as with all Westins, the beds are fantastic. The lobby is fairly stylish and well decorated. However, the workout facilities are pathetic. The weight/workout room is akin to what you would find at an Econolodge. For this alone, I would give the Hotel an overall rating between POOR/AVERAGE The pool area is fairly nice. Hower, on the website, you see a pool with lap swimming lines. However, the only thing that could swim a lap in this pool is a goldfish. RESTAURANTS Fresh is okay for breakfast, but not really worth the price. I don't mind paying $15 excluding tip for a breakfast, as long as it's good.

Clean, business, impersonal hotel
By Sharon, 1/28/06
I have stayed at the Westin twice in the past year, in which I made 6 trips to Princeton. It is clean, well kept and reasonably quiet. It is on Route one and near nothing. However, most of the hotels in Princeton are on Route one. My real complaints about the hotel are that the hotel is difficult for women travelling alone or with a child. The staff ignore us. The hotel caters to courses, conferences and large weddings. The parking lot is difficult, although free. The hotel restuarants absolutely ignore woman and make one feel unwelcome. The rooms didn't even have shower caps. They are not expecting women. I love Westins, but this one is not offering the level of service one would expect. The Doral Forrestal or Holiday Inn, both offered me more service. I probably will choose another hotel for my next visit.
