Roaches!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/03/07
There were roaches in my room. I got another room right away (without roaches) after reporting this to the front desk. Otherwise, the rooms were large, comfortable, quiet, good parking, & wireless Internet. Good value, but haven't stayed there again since the roach incident, even though I travel to Lafayette quite often.

Excellent value

We stayed in clean, fresh painted, quiet room. Staff was always willing to help. Close to places to eat of several price ranges, shopping, the interstate. We have stayed here twice in the past and will stay here again.

Bare Minimum
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/21/06
The hotel definitely has seen better days. The paint was peeling, the lineoleum (sp?) in the bathroom appeared to be coving at least one hole in the floor, trash was piled up in the trash can just outside our door and rusty truck trailers were parked in the parking lot. On the other hand, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked, so we got the minimum we needed. No, I wouldn't stay there again. Also, the regular room rate according to the clerk was $1 less than we paid under the guaranteed lowest price.

Best for the price I have ever found
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/20/05
Somebody needs to speak up for this place. I stayed there a couple of years ago and I think it was just fine. The amenities included frig, micro and coffee maker with a nice sitting area comprised of a full size sofa with matching chair and coffee table. Also, a dining table. Everything including the plumbing was in good condition and worked. It is ironic that someone complains that the sofa was not new when most places don't even have a sofa. I would go out of my way to stay there again. In fact, I have been looking for a place a good at a comprable price ever since, and that is the truth.

we will never go back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/05
Place was a pit. Nothing newer than the early 70's. Doubled the rate on us without notifying us of increase. Was barely tolerable at $70 a night, but $140!!!!!! Would rather sleep in my car.

ok, if you are desperate
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/04
This hotel is fine if you are desperate for a place to stay. The room stunk, the bathroom ceiling was made of plywood and two by fours. The heater ran non stop. We woke up in the middle of the night in what felt like a sauna! Service was ok. Location is good. It is right next to a major interstate and good restaurants.

Awful beyond words
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/04
We stayed at this, motel, on the weekend of a Purdue-Michigan game, so needless to say the rates were double what was usual. This place wouldn't even be worth the regular price, holes in the walls, flooring turning up in the restroom, mysterious reddish stains on the sheets. Hideuous is all I can come up with to describe.

D.B. From Knoxville, TN
By daveb, 06/21/04
Stayed here as a last resort. Next time I will keep driving. Old everything from the couch in the room with frayed edges all over to the bed that had no padding left in it. 40 years ago this might have been a decent place. Never again in a Knight's Inn!
