I have never walked out of a hotel before until I attempted to stay at this one. First off, it was 11:30 PM when we checked in and a family of four, two adults and two younger children, were holding some type of ritual or praying to some god by fireside on the sidewalk of the hotel outside of their door, three rooms away from ours. Second, we pulled the covers back to the bed only to find some type of stain in the middle of the sheet. Third, the bed was mounted on a frame of exposed wood (without a box spring), that’s right, I said exposed wood. Fourth, it was a non-smoking room that smelled like a chain smoking room. Fifth, the hotel clerk was a young barely speaking english man who could have cared less about our discomfort. Our family of three all got into bed and by midnight we were getting our money back and got on the road to complete the rest of our journey in the middle of the night. Thanks a lot Econolodge!!!
