La Quinta Inn & Suites Lubbock West Medical Center, Lubbock

We arrived and our room was clean with courteous front desk staff. It is close to Texas Tech and that is the good thing.The bad thing is no business center. Hopefully during rennovation they will add one. The breakfast fruit was dusty and that is why my husband went down. We left early around 7:30am and came back to our room at 1:00pm and the room had yet to be cleaned. It rieked of food that we had in the trash can the day before along with the wet smell of towels in the bathroom. I finally called the front desk at 3:30 to be informed that the housekeeper should be near my area. She asked what we wanted cleaned vs. just cleaning. Just know if you bid on priceline, then it may not always be the better choice because you can't review first.

I work for Sonic drive in, so Sonic negotiated a 25% discount with La Quinta. I stayed there for $42 a night. The staff was helpful in locating restaurants. The rooms were clean. There is some construction going on, but all you have to do is make a u-turn to get back to the south loop. I have stayed there about seven or eight times and have never had a bad experience. Nice large rooms and friendly staff. Very clean and the breakfast was good. The tv was not the best and they were having elevator problems. Good place to stay near hospitals and Tech.
