Bad Attitude
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/06
I visited this site where they advertise a 38 dollar rate, however when I call it was actually 59.00 for one person, standard room on a Tuesday evening. The girl at the desk when I informed her of this, (rate on site) said that was last week. I also told her Holiday Inn Express had given me a better rate she said then go to Holiday Inn Express. She was a very rude young lady. All these people who gave such great reviews got lucky and caught them on a good day.

Very Nice Surprise!
By Todd, 7/3/06
Normally when I travel I tend to stay at the chains because you kind of know what to expect. We checked it out because it was the first place we saw when we came into Boone and the family was tired from a long day of travel. We only stayed one night because we were passing through on our way to see family in Winston-Salem but if we ever come back through Boone again this will be our stop. Very cute little place. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. They also have log cabins in back but we only stayed in a room. You should know that this is not a chain and they close the office at night.

my favorate little cabin to visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/05
I live only about one hour from Boone, but I love to go stay at the cabins so much that I visit four or five times a year. It is one of my favorite l8ittle hideaways. It is as classy as any hotel you can stay at for a much better price. I love it!

Infested with HUGE Carpenter Ants!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/22/05
HUGE black carpenter ants infested the kitchen, the kitchen ceiling light did not work, and mattresses are covered with plastic. Fellow came in response to our 2nd call, sprayed the ants with an aerosol spray and left us the can. Spraying resulted in only temporary results that left us with a creepy-crawly feeling all night. The ceiling light could not be fixed (apparently). Plastic on mattresses crinkled every time turned over and was hot. Was given a whole $10 discount for these inconveniences. Sorry ~ But would not return!!

Faithful Highland Hills Motel Customers
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/27/05
This place is my favorite place to stay in the Boone area. You can't beat the location and the rooms, cabins and etc. are awesome. My husband and I were so impressed with the Highland Hills Motel and given the bargain rates, we no longer try to book our vacations anywhere else. You must experience this place to appreciate it. What a find!

very nice and courteous people
By Donald E, 9/25/04
My daughter and I had been every where trying to find an economical hotel and every where we went it was 199.00 to 89.99 and I just did not have that kind of money.
I did go to one motel that said 22.99 a night but when my daughter and I went to look at the room it smelled awful and the bed sagged in the middle it was awful.
so we went looking and finally found highland hills and it was awsome not only where the prices great(52.99) for 2 double beds and a great room that was clean and had great sleeping beds. I want to tell the man that checked us in WE will defiatly come back and send others as well. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!!
MY DAUGHTER HAD TESTING AT APPALACHIN STATE THE NEXT DAY AND WAS ABLE TO GET A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP IN A CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL ROOM.

Always clean, quiet, and comfortable. Close and convenient to Appalachian State and, best of all, at a great low rate!
