Chetola Resort & Conference Center, Blowing Rock

This beautiful resort is centrally located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. My wife and I went there before we had children and had a nice room overlooking their lake. We didn't spend a whole lot of time on the property, but that was because we only had a few days to get in the sightseeing. One thing is for certain - if we go back to the Blue Ridge, Chetola is where we will stay.

We just got back from a lovely extended weekend there. We stayed in one of the luxury condos. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The grounds were immaculate. The condo was better than expected, and nicely furnished with a great view (the large in-room jacuzzi, wet bar, and washer/dryers were nice unexpected surprises). Just be sure to bring your own shampoo and essentials, b/c the only thing they had was bar soap. Don't miss the pool and hot tub - they were really nice. They offer a ton of reasonably priced spa services too, at $75/hr for facials, massages, etc; and the esthetician was really awesome. We would definately go back - Chetola's website didn't do the place a justice - it doesn't show the gorgeous grounds or the inside of the luxury condos, which I thought were its nicest features!

I LOVED this place it was very romantic and peaceful. It was a suprise for me my husband got a babysitter and we packed up for a 2 night get away. We got a condo to stay in and when I arrived at the home there was alot alot of roses waiting on me. You have options to have roses, chocolate, wine, candy, balloons etc to be waiting in the room when you arrive which is NICE! I also had a AWESOME massage the next day another suprise!!! FOOD there is out of this world very fancy but yet casual eating area paddle boat and much more this was a trip i will never forget

Chetola is just a gem in the mountains. We've been visiting since 2002. The ownership is certainly not set on the "same ol' thing" year after year. They have consistently improved, added, and spruced up the resort. The partnership with Bob Timberlake has resulted in amazing furnishings and a wonderful bed and breakfast style inn. Plus, the number of things to do is countless.
