NO LONGER MOTEL 6
By ,
This property is no longer Motel 6. It is now the INN AT WILMINGTON. The new company has replace all beds, carpet, painted, resurfaced tubs and vanities. We want everyone to give us a try. If you have stayed here before, you will notice a huge difference.

Worst hotel EVER!
By ,
My husband and I decided to take our 5yr old and 8yr. old daughter on an imprompto weekend away to Jungle rapids (waterpark) in Wilmington. So we were looking for a hotel that was close to the waterpark and had a decent price. The hotel was so disgusting and gross that my 8yr. kept talking about wanting to leave the vacation and go home just so she didn't have to stay there anymore. The rooms smelled so bad and when I mentioned it to the front desk she stated that she could send someone with air freshener. We didn't even try to get in the shower because it looked like it was dirtier than we were! In our non-smoking rooms all I could smell the ONE night we stayed was smoke on our blanket that was burnt with cigeratte holes! We ended up leaving early because we just couldn't take it. Not only was it dirty and smelly it was scary. The other occupants left much to be desired....we saw a couple cars pull up, and leave a few minutes later (we were thinking drugs) and when we left in the morning there was a police officer sitting in the parking lot. If we had known that this hotel was this bad I would have paid an extra $35 a night and went to a Holiday Inn.... The carpet was damp and looked so nasty that none of us took our shoes off until we got into bed and then still left our socks on. I wish I would have read the other reviews from here before we booked our room. They need to just close this hotel down and revamp the whole thing! The only reason I gave it higher marks on the service was because the lady who checked us in was nice and did change our room because the first one they put us in was smoking and boy did that smell....we had requested a non-smoking room.

Welcome to Rude Motel, now get out
By ,
Called a lady the night before and asked if I could check in early because I was going to get into Wilmington early. She politely told me it would be no problem. Upon arrival the next day, a lady greeted me and asked if I was checking out. I told her, "No maam, I'd like to get a room." Her response, no lie, "Nope. Won't have any rooms until 2 p.m." I told her about calling and making arrangements, and her response was "I don't know why they'd have told you that because we don't rent anything until 2 p.m. My housekeeping doesn't even get here until 11 (it was 10:30) so you'll have to go somewhere else." Now, I love the "leave the light on for you slogan and usually swear by Tom Bodette et al, but this light should have said, "Well leave the light on, and it will say GO AWAY." You can do MUCH better in Wilmington.

Are you kidding me?
By ,
Good day, I Travel very often and stay in many hotels world wide. This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, bar none! Filthy room, Appalling staff, and loud patrons. The room was disgusting, dirty sheets, dirty counter tops, carpet had not been vacuumed in days, tub dirty, room reeked of smoke (we requested a non-smoking room, more to come). The staff was anything but professional. When signing in she was on her cell phone and told me to hold on, then looked at the clock and said "My relief would be in in a moment and she would take care of you then". Are you kidding me? when asked to change rooms, i got the eye roll and the deep sigh, then the cocking of the neck and asked "Really?" To that i said "Never mind" and walked out.

Motel 6 left the light on!
The staff was very helpful in getting us to the motel after becoming lost, Very friendly and patience! The room was very comfortable and clean! the air condition was adequate and with police patroling around the area I felt secure! The motel was located just right for us as we had business on the waterfront and spent most of our time going to and from one to the other, a straight shot! Will stay again when in the area! Very unhappy
By ,
We were not happy with the area the hotel was in, the room seemed dirty and smelled bad. We left and stayed somewhere else, because we were not comfortable staying there. We could not get our money back even after being there only a few hours.
