Chateau De La Mer, Gulfport

I stayed at Chateau de La Mer back in 1993/94. I was working as contractor for Avondale and enjoyed a great monthly rate on second floor unit that had a nice view of everything. I have many fond memories of this place, the first-class staff, and the great coastal setting. I have seen post-Katrina satellite imagery of the premise and found the destruction heartbreaking. I don't know what is in the works in terms of the facility being restored. I do hope that one day I can return and possibly enjoy another great stay there. I certainly would continue to recommend this place. My prayers are with everyone connected with Chateau de La Mer. God bless!

My wife and I have gone to the Chateau since 1992 and stayed three months on each visit. The location was great and of course the food at the Casinos was a seniors paridice. Reasonably priced golf for those who do not need pristine golf courses. Now it is but a memory and this year we will find another Chateau somewhere.

The kids and I stayed there over spring break. Snce Hurricane Katrina I don't know how it fared. We had a great time and Everything was clean and neat, we looked out to the beach. We loved the heated pool. I hope everthing is well and our prayers are with everyone on the gulf.

This is a perfect location. Across from beach. The pool is great, and it's even heated Oct 1 to May 1. You could not get this value from staying in a motel. It's really great having a full kitchen so we don't have to eat out all the time.

Me and my family have stayed at the Chateau numerous of times in the past 15 years. This spring we lucked up and got unit # 310. It is on the top floor over looking the heated pool, close to the elevator and you can also see the beach. It is so much nicer than the other ones that we have used in the past years, the decor and furniture are of high quality. The staff was great & helpful, we truly recommend staying there again. Also, you can't beat the price !!!

Hardly any of the pools are heated and this one is... also a safe cross walk with pedistrian light. great location , comfortable. great for families, and having a coffee on the balcony with the most amazing views of the sunsets.
