Westerner Motel, Chadron

This is a very nice motel with very friendly owners. Was nice to sit outside with the owners and some of the other occupants staying there and just relax. We met some very nice people. The rooms were clean and affordable and we could park our bike in front of our door. A nice stop on our way home from the Black Hills. If we come back thru this way in the future, we will definately stay here again. May just make it an annual trip stopping here to stay.

As a prior Flight Attendant, I have stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms. I REALLY enjoyed staying at the Westerner Motel. Everyone was friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. My daughter even remarked how nice the room smelled! I was happy NOT to find other people's hair in the bathroom; it sparkled. The owner encouraged me to fill up my cooler from their ice machine. I definitely will stay here next year!

This is a fine owner occupied motel. Parking in front of your room. Dog friendly,large room, queen beds, clean bath. The owners didn't raise the rates for Sturgis week.I stay in Chadron yearly and this was the best price for for what you get. This a classic American motel.

Clean and in a nice safe area with nice people. Close to highways Don in Iowa

This is a very nicely remodeled owner occupied motel. Park in front of your room. Large room, queen beds, clean bath. Free ice and cable TV. Owners very helpful with travel directions. Rose garden in front. The only complaint was squeaky floors. I researched hard in Chadron and this was the best price for the two bed room. We stayed on our Black Hills and Ft Robinson trip. Note that the Crazy Horse monument tour was a TRAP, we paid $25 per car entry fee and then on arrival at the visitor center were greeted with a $4 per person bus fee if you really wanted to get up close to see the monument. I felt violated. It seemed to me that $25 was sufficient to be able to see the monument up close after all it is only 10% completed. My suggestion is to use binoculars from the highway or go back in 200 years when it is done.

The price was right here! Two nights in a large, clean comfortable room, quiet as well. Ours had a balcony. Owner checked us in and was very helpful. Close to restaurants for breakfast and other meals. Also close to Chadron State Park and Chadron State College. Not far from the Black Hills.

We stayed several days with these folks, and felt right at home. We were allowed to have our small dog, which is of great importance! Also, it snowed while we were there, and the owner gave us a windshield scraper because being from southern NM, we were completely unprepared! We will stay there again, no doubt!

#1- What can I say - Clean, well run, friendly, a heck of a deal, and a great location. #2- I have been there once a year for several days to a week for the last 10 or 11 years & the service & rooms has always been flawless! #4- TV with remote / Microwave / Fridge in the room. #5- Car wash, Market, and Laundry all across the street. #6- Larry & Janice always make me feel kinda like I just ' got home' & have even invited me for a homecooked supper in their home. Give them a try - you won't be disappointed. Terry T.
