Third year going to sleepytown, and by far the least favorable experience of all the years. The rooms seemed like they were not cleaned since last fall...I would stay up all night every night sneezing over and over again, wheezing with my whole face itching. In the kitchen, there were food stains all over the floor around the stove and trash can, there was stains all over the living room carpet, the pullout sofa was broken, the pool was closed for more than half the week. I will say it's in a great location though
This is our third year staying at Sleepytown, each year we have found the cottage, the staff and the woodsy, natural feel of the grounds a joy. My husband, our Great Pyreenes 2 year old and myself enjoy walking the grounds, sitting on the porch and sleeping away from hotel/motel sounds, just the quiet of birds, trees and the fountain splashing in the beautiful pond. I would recommend Sleepytown all looking for "away"
place was in need of repair, not clean and they rented to a bunch of drunk kids in 3 cabins. They would not shut up until after 2AM with police assistance-people trying to walk in our cabin more than once! Priced too high and charged for the night from hell, even after complaining that they knew of the problem and did not clear it up! bad business. This place was run much better a few years ago. Beds without fitted sheets, very worn out and broken items all around.
There was no service , the price was high , the rooms are in very bad repair ,etc , room wasn't clean , lights didn't work , bathroom door wouldn't close , just overall , a real dump . Would never go there again
It was like something out of a B movie. We had been driving for 10 hours and needed a place desperately. We should have known better by the condition of the office/owner's kitchen when we checked in. And then the comment, "the pool is ok to swim in even though it's green" should have put us in the escape mode, but we were exhausted. The dismal cottage with the badly stained, uncomfortable mattress, barren walls, peeling paint and the smell of lingering cigarette smoke made for a sleepless night and a hasty exodus early the next morning. Moral: ALWAYS check out the room first! As the sign in the office boldy exclaims---No Refunds.
last year we decided at the last minute that we were gonig to wells. so at the last minute we found a spot at sleepytown. How great was my suprise when we arrived. It was clean, nice and warm. The owners were kind and the rooms were affordable and clean.
I am excited to come back this year

We spent every weekend last year at this motel and cottages. Not only were the owners fantasic but so were the units. Very, very clean and accomodating. Unfortunately, we can't spent every weekend this year due to family issues in FLA. We are spending July 1-16 and know we will enjoy all our time there. The owners are fantasic. The pool is warm, there are not any bugs, and everyone makes you feel welcome.
When we stayed here in August 2002, it was a really nice place & affordable. We rented a nice cottage, 1 bedroom, 1 bath w/ kitchenette. Nice place to go if you are looking for an economic quite place to stay. Even had a front porch.
