Aquastar Inn At Westerly, Westerly

We arrived on Fri. and the floors were not swept from the prior guests.(lots of sand on floor) We were with a large group and made reservations a month in advance, we were quoted a group rate price. Upon arriving we were charged $30.00 more per night. I had printed coupons from there website which were not honored. A request for towels our second day was ignored. The rooms in general were disgusting and the service was terrible. The continental Breakfast does not include any juice only coffee. Do your children drink coffee for breakfast? The website shows a beautiful place all I saw was a dump. Broken furniture and leaky sinks, water on the floor, no towels and an attitude at the main desk. In general not good business. I highly do NOT recommend this place and will NEVER go back

We stayed on the 4th of july weekend and the staff were VERY friendly the accomodation were VERY clean and the new owners are great and are remodeling all the rooms. If your in this area you should stop and stay a bit.

Clean and fresh the first day to the last. Close to everything and friendly employees. Would go back again and again.

As we have been going here for years,the rooms are all getting remodeled.The new owners are making every effort to make your stay more enjoyable. As we travel on a motorcycle we require more towels ,all we have to do is ask. You also can have coffee at almost anytime along with donuts or bagels etc.The swimming pool is beautiful as is the surrounding grounds there are picnic tabels and gas grills to use if you didnt bring one .Each room has hbo and showtime along with a fridge and microwave also air conditioning and heat. While we were there, there was a painting company sprucing up the light poles and outside etc.Last year if you asked me if i would recommend this place i would have been hesitant, now if you asked me i would definetly say stay here as the many improvements make it more pleasant. Oh by the way all the rooms have either new ceramic tile or hardwood flooring. To the new owners keep up the good work as it will pay off in the end . Thanks Jim and Barb from Gloversville NEW YORK

We rented 8 motel rooms at the Aquastar Inn at Westerly, a short drive to the gorgeous beaches in Watch Hill, RI. My extended family enjoyed a wonderful 4th of July weekend thanks to this affordable lodging option. The new owners bought the motel last winter and are working hard to renovate and update the rooms. This is a work in progress, with some rooms being further along than others. The new owners are very friendly, helpful and accommodating and we expect they will continue to make progress in making this a very good motel.

I have to say that I have never written a bad review of any place until today! I booked a room for 2 nights on the website. When we arrived I was horrified. There was bugs and piles of dirt on the floor, the bathroom had no lights and bugs in the shower, there was no lock on the door and the one chair in the room looked like it was picked up from the local dump. My fiancee even refused to take the stuff out of the car. We told the management that the room did not match the pictures on the web site, we were told that those were much more expensive and we could upgrade. I kindly refused and said that we would be leaving. They refused to refund any money until I told them I was going to contact the local chamber of commerce and that I had taken photos of the room and would send them to the local paper. At that point they refunded one night. The place looks nice from the front however never let that fool you. We ended up staying at a hotel in Galilee that was great. I will never fall for the "weekend" special again. I advised everyone else to do the same.

i stayed there in the summer for prom vacation. when i first opened the door, (no lie when i say this) a nasty cat ran out of the room. i then went into my buddies room who literally found syringes under the bed. this was 4 years ago but all i know is i would never spend another sleepless night there again.

Was driving up state and it was getting late. Thunder storms were also looming. Door to the room did not fit the door frame so klunked in the wind, door lock not up to much too. On pulling back the bed covers saw a number or silver fish slither out of view. The original white sheets had a yellow dis-colour to it and smelt of body sweat. We look back and laugh about it, been in cleaner public toilets!

We have just come home from a night at Blue Star and what a dump! Although the woman at check in was nice and the pool was good the rest of the place is horrible. We requested a non smoking room and our room smelled like an old ashtray! The rug was worn and torn, the beds looked filthy and faded. There were holes in the walls. The door knob was falling off and there was a huge crack in the door. The bathroom was another horror story, the tub was gross and so was the tile floor. The door veneer was peeled off. I can't believe they are allowed to operate. We checked out at dawn after a mostly sleepless night.
