Ramada Pottsville, Pottsville

I travel a lot for my job, and stay in various hotels and motels. I have stayed in Hiltons and Sheratons and all inbetween. I stayed at this hotel for the first 2 full weeks of February, because of training for my job. I was kind of leary because of the other reviews that I had read. 14 days is a long time to spend in one hotel, and so I got to really experience what this hotel was like. First of all, when you walk in, the downstairs (lobby), is very nice. Hardwood floors, and matching furniture was all new. The people at the front desk were wonderful. Anything and everything that I wanted, they got for me, all with a polite smile. My room was very nice. It looked like the whole hotel had a face lift. Very, very clean. I am a fanatic about everything being clean, especially the bathroom. I had housekeeping clean my room every other day. I would spend all day at the training and come back to a friendly hello from the desk, and a very clean room. The breakfast in the morning was good too. It was all fresh and ready to go. I was very pleased all the way. A wonderful place to stay, even for a long time. All of the people that work there were very friendly with many smiles to give. I recommend this hotel to anyone. If I every have to go back to that area, I will definitey stay there again.

My wife and i stayed there for a week. We left and stayed at another Hotel for the second week. The place had no hot water, it was dirty, Desk and chair were falling apart, staff was rude, the refriderator was missing a leg so we had to put a book under the one side to get the door to open. It was the worst Hotel I ever stayed in.

The bathroom was awful. We had to buy cleaning supplies and clean it ourselves. The tub had mildew and drained very slowly. The sink had large chips in the porcelein. We were only to glad to leave this hotel.
