Our Favorite New Vacation Spot
By Jen, 07/09/09
Woodloch is by fat our favorite new vacation spot!!! We have spent the past 10 years vacationing to Disney, it simply wasn't feasible this year. I searched and searched for different places within driving distance, fits within our budget, and that would meet the needs of my 2 kids (5 and 12 years old), as well as my husband and I. Nothing seemed to fit our criteria and we were getting really frustrated. Then I ran into a parent at Drew's baseball game and she suggested Woodloch in the Poconos. At this point, I was praying for a miracle so when I went to the website I couldn’t believe all they had to offer. I decided to book it. Still a little apprehensive, I have to say that from the moment we arrived we felt like we found a new home. The staff are incredibly friendly and very enthusiastic, the food was delicious...I felt like we never stopped eating! I loved that different meal plans were available...the traditional plan suited our family best and offered a variety of options for all of us. I was nervous about Eva's nut allergy and wondered if they would be able to meet her dietary needs but they didn't even blink an eye...she had options at every mean! The resort was emaculate...from the rooms to the dining room to the golf course to the spa. We always looked forward to the live nightly entertainment, which ranged from live bands to magic shows to a Broadway-style theme show. Eva and Drew LOVED it! They never ran out of things to do and actually cried when we left!. My husband and I were thrilled to finally find a place that exceeded any needs that we had... We only stayed for 4 days this year but are already planning future trips, including a girls weekend at the spa (which is magnificent) and a group trip with 2 other families (we heard the guest houses are great for big groups). We cannot say enough about Woodloch…we would recommend it to families with children of all ages!

Not Bad
By Thomas Z, 12/23/08
Did the weekend before Christmas. Food is tops and the service is was great. The problem I had was the cost. Totally not worth the money they ask. Decorations for Christmas was minimal. If it is the Holidays or not, you can get more for your money some where else. Kids programs were nice but the same olf arts n crafts, and ok scavenger hunt. Try it, it may be perfect for you. Try it on the off season see what you think.

Does not disappoint
By Erinn, 11/04/08
We have been to Woodloch time and again. My husband has gone since he was a little boy. Our kids rate Woodloch up there with Disney World. The activities, games, shows, food, atmosphere, staff are all fabulous. I can't say enough about how much we enjoy our time there. Don't be afraid to go fall or winter. They don't skimp on the activities and the resort is well worth the cost!

Love Love Love it!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/08
Woodloch is an experience within itself. I have a huge family, and this summer will be our 10th anniversary as Woodloch guests. To this day, we haven't found a reason not to love it. The staff is amazing, they become friends with all the guests which adds so much to the trip. It is clean, the food is amazing, the rooms are nice, the lake is absolutely beautiful. It is really something that everyone should experience. I don't have one bad thing to say about it!!!!

My family has been going to Woodloch for over 35 years. As stated, it is simply the best and ultimate you and your family can take. They have activities for every age group or do nothing but relax at the pool or spa. I definitely recommend it to everyone!!! P.S. ALSO #1 WIHT ME IS THE CLEANLINESS, YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT IT.

Already booked for next year!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/08
Woodlock Pines Resort exceeded our expectations. Along with 5 other families, we experienced the time of our lives during Martin Luther King weekend. We had no idea how much fun we were about to endeavor as we arrived Friday for our long weekend. From the winter olympics to the scavenger hunt, to the Family Fued game, to the fantastic show on Saturday night to a NY Giants win in the North Lounge with chocolate martinis galore, it was a blast! What an wonderful time we all had, so much so, that each family put a deposit down towards next January, hoping to start a tradition for many years to come! From the owners to the employees, it was a weekend to remember. Thanks to all for making it a vacation we'll never forget. Lisa Ellis & Family

Always a great vacation!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/07
Our family has been to Woodloch over 30 times, and every time is always wonderful. The staff is warm and friendly, the accomodations are immaculate and perfect, and the food is outstanding!! The activities are so much fun, and the meals are the best! Love this resort. Our four children look forward to Woodloch in the Summer and Winter. It's not summer unless we go to Woodloch. So glad to have this wonderful resort only a few hours from our Long Island home! Thank you to the great Woodloch staff.

Take in a show
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/07
I live near Woodloch and have enjoyed going to dinner followed by the evening entertainment several times. When relatives come to visit, they often plan their visits as a vacation event and stay at Woodloch Pines for the week. I go there to visit them and spend the day with them. This started when I took them to a dinner and a show night several years ago. They loved the resort for the family feel they felt in the few hours they were there. We make it a point to always take in a round of golf when they visit and have dinner there on Wed. and Thu. night so we can enjoy their Theme night and show as well as their staff show. The family usually comes during the summer months and we are seated for dining in the Inn at Woodloch which consist of two, 300 seat dining rooms available so that they don't have to overtax the 600 seat main dining room at the main lodge. This is fine for me as we are usually set near the windows overlooking the sunset on the lake this way. From the Inn, the Nightclub where the show is, is well over 1/4 mile. This has never been a problem for us though. We park at the Inn, eat, then either walk the beautifully groomed grounds, or wait a minute or 2 and board one of the shuttles that tour the resort picking people up and dropping them off wherever they are going. After the show we always take the shuttle because hey, I am tired by this point and from the Nightclub to the Inn is an uphill walk. Some of the things I personally like about Woodloch. 1. Great meals, nothing skimpy or 2nd rate here. 2. Great shows, Broadway style theme shows, hilarious comedians, talented jugglers, magicians. 3. Service!! at any time, whether eating, taking in the show or getting from dinner to the show, then back to my vehicle. Things I don't like about Woodloch. 1. Having to leave after the show is over.

A very Special Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/07
We have been Loyal Woodloch customers for almost ten years. Quite a place. The food is great, the staff is unbelievable and the recreational activities in summer or winter are the best. The night club and entertainment are exceptional. Very Expensive but worth every penny. Once you have been to Woodloch you cant wait to go back.
