Mark 8 Inn, Wichita

drugs all over the place,wife and i check out within 1 hour because the rooms were very small,dirty room. right after we check in people started to knock on our door asking if we need anything(drugs). even the desk person look high and the way he was talking( he must have been very high)....if your are looking for a place to stay dont stay at the mark 8 , unless you want problems..police are there all most all the time............go someplace ekse.

If you want to go shopping for crack cocaine come to the Mark 8. Need a prostitute? There will be plenty to choose from once in your room. The friendly pimp next door was gracious and had reasonable rates. I would say that the girls are not top shelf, but I was in the slumming mood. I was offended by my gals hygiene problem. I mean how can you not smell that?! You do get what you pay for. Next time I will try the tall lucious tranny on the 2nd floor, looks awesome. The whole place smells like feet.

Very nice place. The staff is so nice and helpful. it's obviously an older motel but they seem to keep it in decent shape. the neighborhood is known to be not so good but they have 24hr desk clerks and locked buildings so it's not bad as long as ya don't go runnin the streets at night.

I have atayed at this hotel a few times and I will stay there again. I use a wheelchair and the rooms are accessible. The rooms are clean. The price is fantastic. Customer service was good. The neighborhood seems to be its biggest issue. Lots of seedy trafic. I have a dog and took it outside many times. Nobody ever bothered me. The management monitors the grounds and keeps problems away.

My husband and i stayed at this place because we were looking for an inexpensive place to stay since he to take a test in Derby. We got there at night and the area was definately questionable. The front desk clerk took her time getting our room keys. We made our reservations online but since their computer was down they could not pull this up.There were plenty of empy rooms anyhow. The hallway definately smelled like smoke. When we got to our room we laid on the bed to watch tv we found that the pillows were REALLY flat. I don't think i was able to fall asleep the entire night. There was also too much noise outside the room at around 2 in the morning. You could also hear the trains going by constantly. Most places have little bottles of shampoo this place did not have that at all. They did have a soap dispenser in the shower though. Check out time was at noon so at 11 am the front desk called asking if we were leaving at noon or if we were staying another day. I would not have wanted to stay another day. Made me wonder if they were trying to get rid of us. If you go lock both locks. If you are quiet in the bathroom you can hear the conversation in the next room. the bathroom fan did not work either. So you do not want luxury this is the place for you

Rented room for my parents on their visits while I lived in Wichita, then eventually moved back to Coffeyville. I still come back to this Motel when visiting Wichita. Will be returning in October while attending auto races in 2006.
