A LOT DISAPPOINTING

We had the 2 room deluxe. When we pulled in we thought hummm, this doesn't look like a very nice place. When we opened the door to our condo we looked at each other and said, this place is not that nice.
The place was filthy. The fake plants had so much dust on them you could see it from accross the room. The shower was so icky we wore our flip-flops during our shower. The view from the Lanai is awesome, but they have the lanai fenced with glass panels, so the area is too hot and not even a breeze can get through to cool you off. There is no A/C and you really do need it since the condo faces the west.
We loved the fact that you can hear the crashing waves, but let me warn you.. in building "B" there is a blow hole right below you and about every 2 minutes it would hit and the sound is like a huge precussion Ka-boom. After a couple nights your nerves are shot.
The bed was horrible. The window screens do not fit well, so at night there was numberous flying bettle bugs all over, they even found there way into the bed. The washing machine was coroded with rust and the dryer smelled musty. The kitchen cabnets didn't have handles, the area where you grab to open was so dirty and grimy. The entire place needed updated and a good scrubbing.
The parking was horrible. If you could find a space, it was usually too narrow to fit your car into it. This is supposed to be a no-smoking property, however neighbor's would chain smoke on their Lanai's and it would flow right into the bedroom windows... which by the way you can't close because there is no A/C and you would bake.
The view was the only thing advertised correctly at this over priced property.
We found in our exploration of the Island that the North Shore was lush, much cleaner and a noticable differance in the way we were treated. If we ever return to Kauai, we probably stay in Princeville.
I would not return to Poipu Shores, nor would I recommend it to anyone.
Good Luck.
