Sea Gypsy Motel, Pismo Beach

This has been our "beach home" away from home for the last decade. Our June '10 stay was such a disappointment that we will never go back again. The studio we stayed in was shabby and dirty with a malfunctioning stove along with the adjoining rooms being rented out to a group of very young & rowdy boys that partied ALL night keeping us up every night we stayed and were somehow constantly tripping the electrical breakers for all of our rooms. Not only was the staff not helpful they were downright RUDE about the situation. The grounds have been going downhill for the last couple of years and this seems to be the trend with the whole hotel. Believe us that it makes us sad to write this and that it is a far cry from the last review that we wrote for our good old "Sea Gypsy" on beautiful Pismo Beach

we have stayed at the sea gypsy hotel along time ago and loved it. now, we are starting to spend more and more weekends in pismo and always stay at the sea gypsy. not once did we have a bad exprience! It is always clean and the peaple at the front desk are very kind and sweet. We are spending our week vacation in pismo and yes, you guessed it, we are staying at the sea gypsy! YEA!!!!

I like that it is clean, good service, close to the ocean.

We have been going to the Sea Gypsy for the past 20 years, and our latest trip will be our last. Over the years, we have noticed that the place is getting more and more run down. In fact, it now borders on tacky. The rooms are in sad need of renovation, and the place looks dirty. The final straw was the attitude of the young girl at the desk at night. Her rude behavior was the final straw for us. Be prepared to park 2 blocks away in the street on busy days when the place is full, since they have inadequate parking. And bring some advil. You will need it for your back after sleeping on the Murphy bed. Also very non handicapped friendly.

Here is one of those situations where you like a place so much,you're hesistant to tell others because they will come too and it will just get more and more crowded. But really..this place is awesome !! Rooms are right there on the beach with balconies and you can hear the rumble of the surf as you lay down at bed-time..really relaxing and enchanting. The staff is really nice and they're even dog friendly. They even have a lawn area in front of the motel where your pooch can take of business(and bags for you to clean up!) I would go back again and again!

Our family really enjoys Pismo Beach. We always stay at the SG and enjoy our stay. The rooms feel like "a home away from home". The room is just perfect and the view is just phenonimal!! Just steps from the sand and the pier. (Iti s very nice that the motel has washers and dryers on-site to do any emergency laundry.) The whole family loves Pismo Beach and the Sea Gypsy!!!

First of all; do not allow "motel" abruptly lose your interets. We love this place because of their cleaniness and reasonable price in a right location; everywhere else is walking-distance! We are coming back here next week for our 2nd BMUS vacation They are not even a Motel; more of upgraded next to elite hotel Thank you, SeaGypsy Motel!

There's nothing to dislike about The Seagypsy Motel. Right off the beach, walking distance to the main street of pismo and Pier. Very clean and nicely furnished. I was very impressed when I stayed there and for the rate I paid i couldn't pass it up!!

I love everything about this place the staff is wonderful and helpful and the rooms are wonderful and clean thank you for putting the magazine in the rooms that tells about the area

I love the place, but I hate the site. You can learn all about the Sea Gypsy review it, rate it but you cannot make a reservation. Amazing....
