Worst hotel experience ever!

I came to Monterey for the day because my boyfriend was participating the Pac Grove triathlon. He was staying at this hotel for the weekend and had forgot something in his hotel room that morning so I went there to pick it up. I had my 6-pound chihuahua in the car with me and because it was a warm day I did not want to leave him sitting in the car, even if it was just for a couple minutes. I carried him into the hotel room with me, grabbed what I needed and went back to the car. I held my dog the entire time and did not let him wander around the hotel room or anywhere on the hotel property. When I left the room, there were two maids standing outside of the door speaking to each other in Spanish, one telling the other to call the manager, Ritsh. Ritsh then came over to my car as I was pulling out and pounded on my window (which scared me). He asked if I was staying at the hotel, I said no and explained my purpose for being there. He then stated that there is a no pet policy and he needed to inspect the room before I left. I said sure, no problem, and didn't think there would be a problem because the dog had not touched any part of the room. He and one of the maids went in and tore the beds apart then he immediately started yelling at me, saying that there was dog hair in the bed. The hair he pointed out to me was black, long, and obviously human hair (my dog has short light tan hair). It was absolutely insulting. I pointed out that clearly this was not my dog's hair and he proceeded to yell at me saying that they now had to do a deep cleaning in the room and he was charging me $75. I felt that this was a maneuver to charge extra money for the room because any rational person would be able to distinguish between human hair and dog hair, especially when both the texture and color of the two are not even comparable.
At the time I did not know that this hotel had a no pet policy and even though there was absolutely no trace of a dog being in the room, I fully understand I broke that general rule. I am offended by how this situation was handled by Ritsh. His behavior was threatening, intimidating and condescending, and I completely felt bullied by him. Rather than insulting my intelligence, he could have merely stated that this hotel had a no pet policy, therefore had to charge me and I would have easily complied. I suggest the Ramada puts more effort into the people they choose to hire to represent their company. Because of this experience I not only will never stay at this hotel, but any of the Ramada properties.
