Golden Chain Resort Motel, Grass Valley

For the money we paid for this motel in grass valley we were quite satisfied with the service and cleanliness of the room. Grass Valley is a great place to visit, go hiking and site seeing. Money well spent. Will stay here again next time.

Very quiet, clean and the value was great. Only in town for one night for a family wedding, and all the other motels wanted a 2 night stay. Under new management. The general manager was wonderful! Will be our first choice from now on! The pool was beautiful!

They sold me the reservation even though they had been closed for weeks (because of sewer issues) and then sent me to a different hotel. Just go somewhere else!

Inproper use of my charge card. I was there with a wedding party, and we took up about 8-10 rooms all together. There is a two day minimum stay which some parties only stayed one night. The manager advised me that since they left and he did not have charge cards to bill them, he billed me because he had my charge card number. I had nothing to do with planning this event, I was simply a guest like everyone else. I reported this to my bank to dispute the charges, he then informed me that I Pi@#ed him off by contacting my bank. He said he would credit my card but I have yet to see the credit.

We booked a queen size bed & received a double bed. The room was so small they didn't even have a place to hang clothes. We were there 2 nights, after the first night they did not clean the room until we asked. Our friends booked 2 king beds & received 2 queen beds, the room was not clean to begin with, stains on the carpet & it smelled terrible.
