Super 8 Motel Eureka, Eureka

Rude manager, key cards do not work, rooms are small and dirty, bathroom lights are broken and fans makes grinding sounds. A joy for all. Went for my birthday the manager yelled at me because my baby spit up by the pool and he started shouting "you lost me money I hope you are happy" like a baby can help it. He is unprofession and rude!!!

I was promptly taken care of by the desk clerk. My check-in was quick and easy. The room was very clean. The furniture was nice and solid. The bathroom looked like it was newly remodeled. The bath/shower unit was great. The bed was appropriately firm. The carpet was clean and looked new. The room did not have that offensive cleaning products smell that some motels have. The outdoor parking area was open to the street but there didn't seem to be any problems during the night. The entry hall to the rooms was accessable to anyone from the outside (no security door). Again there were no problems the night I was there. My room looked out on to the parking lot. The street noise was soft and could be easily muted by turning on the overhead room fan. My room had a queen sized bed and plenty of extra space. I had plenty of room to stretch out and do some yoga. A bonus for me was the wifi access. Overall, I was extremely pleased with this room for the price. I would recommend this motel to my friends with out question.

We stayed here for 4 days in November.The motel was tidy,rooms clean and large.Good quality furniture and good condition.Heated pool and spa and sauna,which was great for the children.Good downtown location,near Eureka old town and restaurants.We think this property has been recently remodelled as it was better than some Best Westerns.Excellant price only $69.00 per night.

We arrived late at night, about 7pm. I had checked out this hotel online and was quoted a price of $55 dollars, I called the hotel and was told yes that's the price and that I didn't need a reservation. We got there and the receptionist had no idea what I was talking about (must have been someone else) so the price went up $10. The room was clean and I liked the style, the furniture was in good condition. There were only 3 sets of towels provided. More could be requested. We had one shampoo and 2 bars of mini-soap. Also there was only enough coffee for one person. There was a small ice bucket and 2-3 styrofoam cups, and a couple of water cups. I am sure more coffee and all that could be requested. Oh and the room was clean, the towels folded and arranged nicely. The carpet seemed to be new(er) it was clean. Also the beds are firm, very firm. We went to the indoor pool and hot tub. They were both very clean. Again more towels would have been nice. Both were a nice temperature. There's a sauna, you have to call to have it turned on, we didn't call or go in. The hot tub seats 3 and is a little secluded from the pool. It's on an automatic timer, so it went off once for a brief moment. We were in the middle of the hotel which has an open layout (it's like a T we were on the 2nd floor in the middle) once the tv was off we could hear the traffic, but it wasn't too loud, just a slight murmur. In the morning I went down for their continental breakfast. That was small danishes, old fashioned dougnuts, coffee, tea, Orange Juice, and hot cocoa. I ranked this hotel as average because the lack of towels and shampoo, and very continental-continental breakfast wasn't so bad considering I paid a very low price. I would recommend this hotel if you're on a budget, and just passing through, the price is definatly good.
