Newly Renovated, Nice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/19/08
We have been staying at this lovely Santa Cruz Mountain Hotel for years. They recently renovated all of the rooms, and they are very nice. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and the Deluxe Continental Breakfast is great. It was very nice to have complimentary coffee and tea available during office hours. Everything was just really good.

Management stinks! Very rude!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/31/05
We have been staying at this hotel over the years because we love the area. In fact, I even stayed there long before it was the Econo Lodge, when it was called the Ben Lomond Hilton. Last year they were great by adding the option of having 2 rooms which could accomidate a small dog. Because of that we stayed there. This year, unfortunately those two rooms were booked, but I asked if it was okay to leave out dog in our car. (Our dog does not even bark.) The person making reservations told us it was okay. When the manager saw the dog, he told us we would have to leave in the morning. (We were scheduled for two nightrs.) He wouldn't even listen to us. He basically called us liars. Later he spoke with the person who took our reservations and then said we could stay the second night. The trip was allready ruined at that point, so we left. He would not refund us our money for the first night, so we were stuck.
